We don't get any of the good artsy-fartsy movies here, so my choices are somewhat limited. I guess I could go to Pirates of the Caribbean and stare at Johnny Depp, although I find him less than appealing as a pirate.
And skittles... 23% on RottenTomatoes! Way to pick them.
I'm getting ready for a house party tonight. I made jell-o, now the fridge smells live Absolut. Thankfully my parents don't come home until Monday so I have time to air it out.
Psh. I wanna see it just so I know what the twist is. I'll probably just wait until I get home so my brother can get me to see it for free; he works at a movie theater.
Sounds fun, Sarah.

Hah, I'd be totally up for that now, Sarah. I'm going crazy with anticipation of wanting to get out of this town.
I'm craving sushi.
It seems you're taking full advantage of your parents' absence, Sarah. Enjoy your party.
Artsy-fartsy movies and sushi in abundance are awaiting you in NYC, Lexi. When I went away to college, we packed up the footlockers my mother had used when she went to college in the dark ages. (I went during the medieval period.) I still have them.

Aww have fun moving into the city! I wish I could move to the city. Can college come any faster please?
As for movies, well John Tucker Must Die is hilarious and it's a perfect chick flick if you want to see that.

Heh, I'm excited. There's a film that I've been waiting to see all summer, but alas, it never came here. It's a documentary about crossword puzzles... which I mainly only want to see because my favorite baseball player is featured in it, but it looks like geeky fun regardless.
I wish I could say that I was packing away my belongings in footlockers, but we're using boxes from U-Haul.
I'm reading Xangas of people who graduated from my high school two years ago with whom I was friendly. It's really amazing that they're all still hanging out together nearly every day.

I want sushi too. yummy.
I'm seeing Dead Man's Chest again tonight. This time at one of those "delux" movie theaters. Super-big sexy pirates

Haha have fun!
So after listening to the new songs I really have on clue what to say. I think I'm still in shock from the amazing music that my ears just listened to. Ok I'll say this: It's definitely evident that Adam has matured a lot more musically. The song for Cybele was gorgeous as were the other two. I don't really know what to say except for "When does the new cd come out again?"
I totally agree, ponine. Adam mentioned the end of the year a while back, but Civilian took so long to come out that I'm not sure how much to rely on that. One good thing about his lack of roles so far is that he has had plenty of time to work on it.
Yes, have fun Alex! There's nothing like a good theater when seeing a movie you really like.
Lexi, the crossword puzzle/baseball player combo sounds very intriguing, not to mention unexpected.

Thanks! Well..I have to leave now, girlies. Bye!

He mentioned in concert that the three new songs were the result of work over the "last few weeks" with Larry. I don't know if that means that he just started writing the songs over the last few weeks or simply that those three songs were the result of work from that timeframe. I'm glad you liked the songs, ponine. I wish you could see the video for the second one. He plays the bass so intently.
And Chloe: heheh. He's actually a Stanford-educated ballplayer, which is rare these days. Really quirky guy, but my crush goes WAY back.
(Psst - I sent ponine that video too. Anyone else want it?)

Thanks to Chloe for remembering the anniversary. I appreciate it more than I can say. I heard that it passed unnoticed, but late is better than never.
Edit:
To the Stage, it's a shame about the raisins, isn't it?
Much love to your signature.

Nia, great to see you! Actually picturetaker brought it up first, but I had been thinking about it earlier. I just lost track of time because I was working a lot.
insomniak! Our Adam Pascal Love Thread God!
Lexi- I loved The Devil Wears Prada! It's suppose to be a good book. I'm just too lazy to read it. I really wanna see "Step Up" just because I've really been into "So You Think You Can Dance" lately. & it looks good. The leading man looks semi-cute. Just call me a fangirl =P
So I have a pic of Adam as my desktop. It's not a great pic, but I like it because his eyes are so pretty. Anyway, my sisters friend walks in and says, "Who is that guy?" I told her and she said, "He's kind of ugly" I just dropped my jaw.

I liked The Devil Wears Prada, too. Ashley and I talked a bit about it yesterday. Ultimately, I think Streep both stole the show and probably damaged the film's intent a bit as well. Her portrayal of Miranda made it impossible for me to hate the character. Anne Hathaway always leaves me cold, though.
Superficially speaking, I want my future husband to look like the Paris boyfriend when shirtless.
Dancin, Adam's attractiveness doesn't truly come through in his pictures. If I had only seen those, I probably wouldn't be interested. Play some of his music or the Rent DVD for her if you ever get the chance, then she might feel differently.
Lexi, I've read elsewhere that the intent of the author (who wrote a thinly disguised account of her time as an assistant to Anna Wintour) was somewhat subverted by the movie.

I think it really depends on the picture, too. I think the pictures from last Saturday's concert were stunning.
That's interesting, Chloe; I thought Ashley and I were probably among the few who felt that way. I've never read the book, but I had the feeling that I was supposed to hate the boss more than I did. It's amazing that such a great performance can be double-edged sword.
I think you're right Chloe. I don't think I became a fan just because I saw a picture of him
I saw Devil wears Prada with the girls from the factory. We enjoyed it, especially because on of them is named Andrea. We called her On-Dray-ah all the time after that.

Hah! I had this absolutely gigantic crush on someone junior year but he was obsessed with someone named On-dray-ah, so the name still has a negative connotation to me.
It's a horrible name (sorry to anyone who has it). It just fit so much for Meryl to keep calling her that. She was so evil. I love Meryl Streep.
