Thank you. I took some medication and the pain has subsided a bit. It's not nearly the horrific procedure that some say it is, though.

That's good Lexi. Have some ice cream

Yay for surviving the surgery!
So where are the hilarious drug induced posts you promised

Haha. I feel happier than I usually do, but I can't say that the medicine is like, severly upping my libido or something.
Glad you survived, Lexi. Drink lots of milkshakes, eat soup and have fun with the pain killers.

Thanks, darling. :) I'm so afraid to eat, though -- I think that the food will release the blood clots and I'll end up with dry socket.
When I had mine done, I had to pack the back of my mouth with gauze "until it stops bleeding." They told me it would probably stop by the time I got home. The problem was, it didn't stop for the next 8 hours. My mom was freaking out that I hadn't eaten in 18 hours and was taking heavy drugs, so she made me drink a milkshake around the gauze. That was...interesting. And soggy.
Sounds...um...interesting skittles. I guess I was lucky, my mouth stopped bleeding almost instantly and I didn't have any big blood clots like my brother did. I used this surgery to my advantage and had my mom buy me Spaghettio's because I love them, but she always refuses to buy them. So she bought them for me and I ate those all day.

Oh man, skittles, that sounds horrific. Thankfully, my bleeding stopped after an hour or so. Having gauze in my mouth for that amount of time as bad enough!
I. LOVE. SPAGHETTIOS. I know that they're probably godawful for you, but they taste amazing. (Clearly, I'm such a food connoisseur...)
Glad to hear things went so well. I can't remember the last time I had Spaghettios, so they obviously didn't make much of an impression on me.
No problem, Felix! Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm pretty sure that there are so many better alternatives to them, but I'm somewhat addicted. I wouldn't exactly recommend trying them!
How's everyone else today? I'm still sitting here with ice packs on my cheeks and counting down the hours until the Yankee game. They're leaking, but I'm too lazy to change them.
I remember the day of my surgery ... The four novicane shots numbed different parts of my face : tongue, left cheek/jaw, right cheek/jaw and chin. They regained feeling at different parts of the day. My tongue and chin were last though, so I couldn't feel the spoon in my mouth when I was trying to eat jello. There was nobody around, so I just used my hands so I'd know when it hit my tongue. :)
Then I took a nap ... I awoke to my mother screaming bloody murder standing over me. She thought I was bleeding a ton, but it just turned out that I had missed my mouth with some red jello and it was all over my chin!
Enjoy your ice packs. Hooray for the Yankees being on ESPN again tonight. I stayed up late to watch Mike finish out the game last night!
JL, that story could be in a movie, it's great. I can just see the wide-angle POV shot of the mother screaming her head off.
There's so little news right now. Cybele wrote in her blog comments that Adam accidentally gave her a migraine by seasoning his burgers with something that listed "natural flavors," which she thinks probably meant MSG.
I guess food labeling still has a ways to go. She's writing an article about it.

I woke up with a numb tongue and lower lip. I tried to drink something, but I spilled it all over myself. How embarassing!
The image of Adam flipping burgers still makes me giggle.
I just imagined going to a drive through and seeing Adam in a McDonalds outfit. lol

The image I had was more of Adam standing in front of a grill with a corny "kiss the cook" apron.
Aw thats a such a cute image! But when I think burgers, I think fast food..
That's a shame, when you could be thinking a cute Broadway star in a corny apron.
That's cute. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some sort of apron.

Well, the apron bit was mainly a joke, but I suppose I can see it.
Someone should photoshop a grilling scene. Heh.

He probably has a U2 or AC/DC apron.
If any of you are on the Adam LJ community there's some posts from yesterday with that were new to me.

Haha, Chloe. Or a "Dirty Sanchez" one. (sorry, everyone knew that was coming)
I can see him buying like 8 Dirty Sanchez shirts and then cutting aprons out of them. haha.
Hm, I thought I'd take the high road, but I should have known better...
Hey Emcee, how are you?
JL, thanks for the heads up, though it's not clear exactly what you were referring to.
