Hah, I'm not entirely sure whether to take that as some sort of a compliment or not.
I'm guessing that JL was referring to the Model Prisoner interview posted yesterday, as everything else posted on the Adam LJ community of late is the standard fare.
ETA: I was sure that I could use "fare" within this context, but now that I think about it, I think the noun is associated almost exclusively with food. In that case, I'll say that most of the recent posts on the community are the typical BS.

Hi! I'm ok. I'm tired and feeling some allergy-induced illness, but otherwise hanging in there. I have a fun weekend coming up, so that's good. :) How about you?
I'm good. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with allergies, that's for sure.
Haha, Lexi. Fare can be used the way you did, but your second version was funnier.

I'm sorry that I won't shut up about this surgery, but the pain medicine just wore off. Ugh. I just took some more. I tried to eat dinner, but could barely eat anything because I'm worried that one of the blood clots is going to fall off and create a dry socket. I'm going to try to relax and watch the Yankee game on ESPN.
Sorry, this belongs on the banal thread. I'm glad that everyone else is doing well. Chloe, I'm glad to know that I didn't use the word incorrectly! I tend to have a vague idea of what many words mean and how they can be used, but I make quite a few mistakes as well. Live and learn, I guess.

Feel better Lexi.
..and you know Adam's thread is like a banal thread
I'm so glad I don't have severe allergies this year. Only teary eyes and such.
No Trace is making me very relaxed right now.

Thanks, Alex.
I totally listened to Model Prisoner while still half-sedated and it was the most soothing experience ever.
If that's what listening to music is like while high, I'm so trying it again.
(Kidding, I think.)
Hey everybody! Today while watching a Will & Grace rerun on the WB11, the referenced Rent! I magically turned on t.v. & it was on. I think this is what happened:
Will: They loved my performance in Rent! (Have no idea what they were talking about beforehand.)
Grace: I knew you would do really well in a play about homelessness, AIDS, & herion addictions.
I'm probably wayy off but I was happy for a nanosecond in time
Lexi- Congrats on surviving you surgery! I hate pain x10.
Yeah I was talking about the interview ... never know which words to leave out to make it understandable but not obvious. :)
I read the stuff on Cybele's blog today about the MSG too. I have a really bad reaction to that stuff and it's in EVERYTHING. They used to just make a big deal about it with Chinese food, but it's in all kinds of junk food. I don't get it, though. It's used as a meat tenderizer but it must have something to do with fake cheese flavoring too because it's in doritos and lots of other cheesy junk food.
I understand, JL, it's always a little tricky, especially after one of the Warnings.
I think MSG is a flavor enhancer and that's why it's in so much stuff, but since so many people react badly to it you'd think it wouldn't be quite so ubiquitous.

Thanks, Angela. I suppose my coming on here and stating that I "survived" was a bit dramatic, but I was so freaked that I wouldn't wake up. Heh.
What warning, Chloe? We were warned for something?
There was a post from Craig on the main board about not linking to illegal stuff or you could be banned. It doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Just wanted to say - Lexi, congratulations on having your wisdom teeth out and over with! I had mine out last year. For me, everything was much easier (read: less painful) after the day of the surgery. Hope things go well with you.
I find food allergies a pretty interesting topic, as I love cooking and baking. I don't have any allergies myself (for which I'm thankful, especailly since I'm a vegetarian), but I know people who do. Plus, my father had to have a gluten-free diet for a short period of time - during which, my mom found a wonderful brownie recipe in a gluten-free cookbook! (Unfortunately, I don't think we have the recipe anymore.)
Edit: I hope my calling food allergies "interesting" wasn't construed as insulting, or belittling the issue in any way. I know that they can be very serious, as well as annoying and hindering.

Oh, okay. For a minute, I thought you were saying that this thread specifically was warned, and I got quite nervous!
Thank you very much, Zyla. Even if the pain somehow does become worse tomorrow, it's wonderful just to have the actual surgery out of the way. As I think I've stated quite a few times on here, I'm not a true vegetarian, but don't eat poultry or red meat.
Lexi, glad to hear your surgery went well. I have to ask, though - do you look like a chipmunk? :-P

Actually, no. I've been keeping ice on my face for most of the day, so the swelling isn't too bad. I can't believe that I'm feeling as good as I am, though.
All 4 out in one day and not much swelling? Wow, you're really really lucky.
Lexi- I hope you feel all better tomorrow
I have finals starting tomorrow! *has a panic attack*
Have a good night everybody!

Yeah, and not too much pain, either. I really have a lot to be grateful for, although it KILLS to open my mouth. I was eating two Spaghettios per bite at dinner.
Thanks, Angela. Good luck with your finals.
I found my birthday and piano recital photos -- yay. Maybe I'll share a couple. I hate always being the loser who posts photos, though. Hah.
Aww Lexi, you're not a loser. I'm all excited because my mom found a spare copy of my senior picture (I thought we were all out of them) and had my dad bring it to the city today so I could pick it up. I feel like such a dork for caring so much, but it made me really happy.

Have you picked it up yet? Post it! I'd love to see yours. Mine senior photos were... not the best!
Lexi, were you surrounded by all of your Rent memorabilia?
I think you girls are pretty brave to post your pictures.
Archive.org hasn't been working for me the last couple of days. I can get to the site, but it lists attempts to find anything as a Bad Request. It makes me feel rather naughty.
Mandi-- Where is that from? I remember seeing a picture like that.
LJ or something I think.
Broadway Legend Joined: 12/31/69
No, Mandi. It was all my CHESS memorabilia. Get it right.
I generally get a safe vibe from this board and don't really have a problem with posting a few photos, but I wouldn't dare post my photo (or anything about myself, for that matter) in any board that seemed like it would attract crazies. I don't know if Jessica feels the same way, but I'd assume she does.
Archive.org is tempermental like that; I'm not quite sure why. Perhaps because it's comprised of such an incredible amount of pages.
