Right, and he was also in it with Cox for her first four or five months in the show. It could have been either of them, but if everyone else is remembering Michelle Williams, that's probably who it was.

If you're referring to the clip that was on YouTube, yeah, I'm pretty positive that it was Michelle Williams. :) There was also a (horrific) clip of Michelle performing Easy as Life on YT for a while.
If it was a different website, then it could very well have been Deborah. Judging by her vocals, I'd love to see a video of Deborah as Aida.
MW sounded like a dying chipmunk.
It wasn't on yt, but some Aida-associated website. Unfortunately it was quite a while ago and I don't think I have a link.

Oh, okay. I suppose it's quite possible you saw Cox and Chase, then. I think there's a video of them circulating, although I'm not entirely sure.
I'd probably venture to guess that a more youthful portrayal of the characters is more accurate, but then again, the musical is likely so far removed from being historically accurate that different interpretations of the characters don't matter all too much.

I would agree with the statement it was a more mature presentation of Radames/Aida. I like Radames and Aida a bit younger myself, but to each his own.
Anyone seen Winter Passing (Adam Rapp's movie)? I rented it, but I was curious if anyone else had checked it out...
Emcee, a dying chipmunk? Wow.
On Cybele's blog someone posted an offer to sign a petition for her to have her own show on the Food Network. Cybele wrote back that I also have a development deal with a production company to develop a cooking show on healing foods, which we will try to do on the food network (or some other such network). and that no petition was needed yet.
She's still getting idiot negative reviews on amazon though. Someone was absolutely enraged that some of the recipes include spelt flour, a cousin of wheat that some wheat-allergic people can't eat, even though Cybele always supplied an alternative flour for those people. The person actually gave it one star for that reason alone. It makes me wonder when that reviewer's allergy cookbook is coming out.
Given the way Michelle Williams sounded as part of Destiny's Child, Em's description of her Aida as sounding like a dying chipmunk may be overly charitable :-P
That really sucks that people are still giving Cybele's cookbook bad reviews over things like that. Obviously, no one cookbook will perfectly accommodate a person's specific allergy situation, but Cybele seems to have done everything she could to create recipes that are okay for a wide range of allergy issues.

Well, Michelle Williams was pretty horrible. She sounded quite squeaky.
In order to get a TV show, does one generally need a petition? I'm extremely unfamiliar with that sort of thing. Good luck to her, though. She seems incredibly hard-working. I vaguely remember reading a quote from Adam that said something to the extent of his wife being the hardest working person he knows at her career and being a wife and mother. Granted, I'm sure most husbands would say that about their wives, but it's still nice to see someone who has the amount of passion she does for a worthy cause.

No, not at all, this person was just expressing support, I think.
Something else came up on IMDb. A gay fan of Adam's who just arrived on the board is suggesting that his fans band together to donate some money to his favorite charity for his birthday. It seems like a nice idea but the logistics are troublesome. What do you all think?

It sounds like a wonderful idea, but it's the very type of thing that I'd stay away from unless I'm in charge of it. I trust very few people in general, much less on the internet.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking, especially since this isn't someone I feel I know at all in even the internet sense.
I hesitate to mention it, but Rentsecrets are up. It's punching-bag-Adam time again, plus they felt the need to post a NSFW notice this week.
What does NSFW mean?

Not safe for work.
I just looked at them now. Frankly, I think the Adam one is quite laughable. I don't see how disliking his CDs makes him an asshole, but okay. The gratuitous nudity was unnecessary, too.
ETA: I should probably mention that gratuitous nudity is that of Rosario, not Adam. Don't get your hopes up, girlies.

They were all lame lame lame. People, submit more Broadway Secrets.
Yes, the justaposition there could have been misleading, Lexi.
I agree the hostility in that post about Adam's CDs is ridiculous, but people are taking it further in the comments.

I saw the comments after I made my post. I'm past the point of caring if people liked Adam in the Rent movie, but you'd think that people could learn to express their opinions in a more mature manner.
Right, and you can't really deal with comments like that without descending to their level. Well, Adam would hardly want people like that to *be* fans of his anyway.

Hey guys.
They were so boring..all the saammeee.
Was the nudity really necessary?
"Frankly, I think the Adam one is quite laughable. I don't see how disliking his CDs makes him an asshole, but okay."
I agree..I'm guessing they're not a fan.
The secrets... they could be better, as usual.
Nudity = shouldn't be allowed. I mean there could be pretty young readers (I mean I don't consider myself young, but I think I'm one of the youngest around).
I've said this beofre, but I'll say it again: Nobody cares if you like Rosario or Daphne.
Rent secrets need to improve greatly.
I agree, Angela, I'm just about ready to write them off, though I expect I'll be back again next week, hoping for something interesting.

It's always the potentially scandalous ones that keep drawing us back every week, yes?

They've just become too predictable...
What did happen to broadwaysecrets...not enough submissions? I always liked those
Of course, but all the people who have potentially scandalous secrets are obviously too sensible to post them.

Amber, I think Broadway secrets have largely disappeared because there haven't been enough submissions and the moderators are "too busy." I think the latter excuse is somewhat laughable because it probably takes all of ten minutes at most to post 10-15 images.
I wish Rent secrets were better, too, but the novelty was sure to wear off at some point.
