I LOVE It!! That is freaking adorable!!! I can't wait to get my little bro into theatre.. once he's 8 I will be getting him involved.. 1 more year..
**smiles sweetly at Pengers**
You like that huh??
**sits on his lap**
I know what a bad girl I am.. I can only imagine what teenagers are up to these days.. I know what I did then and I know what I do now..

Aw, thank you, Cam. He's really quite cute, when he's not being horrid.
Psh. Teenagers today are too busy fretting over SAT scores and extracurriculars to bother with *bad* things. Sheesh!
That's the way of kids.. they are great when they aren't being horrid..
I'm so disconnected.. But yeah I know teens are focusing more on doing well in school, yet at the same time the teens I know still do little bits of the "bad"..
Oh and I just need to say that you former avatar and your sig are making me want to read those books again

Well, I think it's unfair of me to say that all teens are focused on school; really, again, it depends on the person and the background from which they come. But I think it's safe to say, as a whole, there isn't quite as much *bad* as some adults might think there is.
Oh, and... Narnia. I love the series, and I really should give it another read before the movie comes out.
I know you weren't saying all teens.. it was more a majority.. it's never fair or accurate to make a blanket statement..
I can't wait to see that movie.. it's been a couple of years since I read the books, I just need a week of free evenings and I will have them all read again.. I will probably do it right before the movie comes out.

Death to blanket statements.
The books really are nice to read. I finished The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in a very short period of time, but I found the writing so beautiful, obvious Christian roots aside. There are so many lines that I just love so much. See the signature, for instance.
They are definately an easy read.. And yes religious undertones if you can even classify them as undertones aside I think everyone should read them.. It takes me about five evenings to read the entire series if that.. Then of course I can read the hobbit plus the ring trilogy in 7 days.. And those are not such and easy read.
I wish I had more time to read. and write.. I need to get back to my writting..

See, The Lord of the Rings never really did anything for me, even if Tolkien and Lewis were, as one of my friends so eloquently put it, "BFF, man." The over-attention to detail, in my opinion, just bogs the story down. Narnia creates just as vivid a world, for me, at least, in each 200-page book, than Tolkien did in chapter upon chapter upon chapter of forest.
I'm with you on the time thing, though. There's quite a lot that I'd like to read, and I know that I should keep writing, too. Ah, well. Editing will do that, I guess.
I was doing so well with my writting and well not so much lately.. I haven't touched it.. which is bad.. I was just having a hard time writting for personal reasons and now it's a time issue..
I know a lot of people that found the LOTR books to be too much.. and tolkien can seem to ramble a bit, but I started with the hobbit in 2nd grade.. I grew up loving those books..
I know how you feel, my writting has fallen far aside. I seem to overload with other things, or be a bit emotionally mangeled to get started, although the worst is when I'm happy. I mean what does a happy person write? (that never lasts too long though )
LOTR books are huge for me, I love them. I really get into that extra attention to detail. Narnia I really like, and agree that they are really great. Those religious overtones are a bit much sometimes though. I actually prefer to read C.S. Lewis' books on religion straight up, for a conservative 20th century white male, his views are prettt extrordiarily openminded. (sorry seminary student in me comes out there )

I love how you are both writers, and there were two "writting" misspellings in two posts!
haha, precisely what does a happy person write? And how does an emotionally mangled one stop crying long enough to start.. I know those situations all too well..
You aren't off the hook Mister!!! you called me a bad character.. You dont think I'm going to let you get away with that do you?
