Friday bump!
Have a wonderful weekend everybody! I'll be back Sunday night. Can't wait to hear all about your day, Emcee!!
Thanks! Have a nice time at home.
Bump in hopes of a report from Emcee.
Also was just looking at the thread on the Ellen Show. I missed it whenever it first came up, but see that she's doing shows in NYC leading up to Thanksgiving, which seems like a very prime opportunity to have some of the RENT people on.
Well, it'll be up online eventually. Right now I have a lot of audio to transcribe and... a lot to process, personally. It went very well, I think, and was just totally fascinating.
I have to check out the audio, but I'll probably be willing to let people hear that, if it looks like publishing won't happen for a while. Hopefully it'll happen sooner rather than later.
I can imagine it'll take a while to write. And while I wasn't asking to actually hear anything (I probably should have written "read about it" rather than "hear about it"), I would certainly enjoy hearing some of it too.
It's just a bit shy of forty minutes, so it's going to take a while. I'm listening now, and it's very clear, but you can't hear me very well, because I didn't need documentation of the questions, as I had them written down. It's a bit more like a conversation than very interview-y in some spots, but it'll fare well on paper, I think. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to write a story and incorporate these things, or if it's just to be printed as a straight interview. Probably the latter.

Heeey! I'm glad you had a wonderful time, Em... can't wait to hear/read some stuff!
This is for your school paper, right? So they'll tell you what format they want it in? I think the first one would be potentially more interesting - providing context and background for what he says - but would also be much harder to do.
ETA: Hi Allie!

Yeah, it is. And... I hope so. They haven't given me very much information at ALL about this process. They were sort of like "oh, yay! Get him in for an interview." Some of this needs background, some of it can stand alone. I think I can get away with inserting brackets for explanations here and there. I think I'll have my editor take a listen and see what she thinks.
Sounds good.
To change the subject a moment, did you all know that Jonathan Larson wrote songs for a children's video? Check the link, and scroll down.
Away We Go
aw, no. I didn't know that.
Well, be sure to look at the link and scroll down!

Ahh! That's so funny. I definitely did a double take. Aww, I want to watch the video clips! No Quicktime. *cries*
::tries and fails to imagine life without quicktime::
That's too bad, Allie. I looked at a couple of clips and they were really cute.
Thanks for the link, Chloe! Every time I've read that, which must have only been two or three times, I've wanted to look further into it but I never have.
Emcee, I'm glad the audio came out well! Yay for a successful day. (that rhymes! hehe, apparently I'm feeling a little silly for some reason.)
I had a dream that I saw the movie. I woke up virtually in tears.
Good tears or bad tears? I had a really bad dream last night, but nothing to do with RENT.
awww, I'm sorry.
They were good tears, I think.
Good - and that's one dream that will very likely come true. Have to go out for a while, see you later.
Happy trails! I'd better get started on this paper, ugh.
I just came back from the Homecoming Chili Cookoff.
Mmm, free lunch. Soon, I gotta run off and check out Scotch n' Soda's Children of Eden...
