Hey, new fangirl here! I've been lurking here for a little while, and I finally mustered up the courage to post. Anyway, I saw Rent on Broadway about a month ago (I was familiar with Seasons Of Love and Light My Candle beforehand, and I was aware that a movie was being released, but that was about the extent of my knowledge until one of my extracurricular clubs decided to buy tickets for all of us to go see it), and was just blown away by the power of the music. I immediately went and bought the OBCR, and then got the movie soundtrack a couple of days later. I started looking for more information about the movie, and somehow found and downloaded a video of Adam and Anthony performing What You Own on the Today Show. Well, that was it for me. I was now an Adam Pascal fangirl. I picked up Model Prisoner and Civilian at Tower Records after seeing the blog entry where he mentioned having a solo album, and they've been in heavy rotation on my iPod ever since.
