Anyone here?

I got my schedule. Most people go in at eight, but I'm there at seven twenty-five, as usual. Damn those courses.

Hey, Nia!

Eek, 7:25? I've never started school any earlier than 9, and thank goodness for that!

I'm here! All ready for the first day of school tomorrow. Joy. But it's only for one day, because I'm going to New York for the weekend.

Are you ok with missing the beggining of school, Elphie?

Allie, can I move to Canada with you?

Of course you can, Nia! I may need you... I'm still terrified that my roommate is going to be really weird or something.

Nia, last year I missed the first four days of school, and I was fine. A little stressed, but I did well. I don't like it, but I'm not giving this thing up. casting

Hey everyone! Guesswhatguesswhatguesswhat?????

I just bought the Hair benefit concert recording! I love Raul even more now than I did two hours ago.
And ha-ha, I don't have to go to school til next Tuesday! But school does start at 7:25, so boo.

You'll be ok, Allie. And she can help keep you sane. Will you have one or two?

Elphie, you must be perpetually stressed.

What are you doing in New York? Which show(s)?

I WANT THE HAIR CD! But I can't afford it. casting

Nia, just one roommate. But I still have my own bedroom, so it's okay. But, seriously, what if all she listens to is death metal or something? I mean, nothing against that kind of music, but... I canNOT deal with that for 7 months!

She won't! Everyone says these things work out.

I want the Hair CD, but I'd rather have a new score... plus I have three dollars to my name.

I think my mom is getting addicted to Rent. It's really starting to scare me. She called me from the car today and she was listening to it of her own free will. With other, more to her taste cds in the car. I'm not sure what to make of it.

You'll make it, Atrias, hehe. She's just expanding her tastes! There's nothing wrong with that.

Okay, what do I say in an email to my new roomie? "Hey, we're living together! If you listen to nothing but death metal, I may jump out the window."??

But Allie, she was singing along with it! While she was talking to me! And it was "Out Tonight"! And then, when we were going to pick up my new blinds (and later my Hair CD) she was singing along with "Christmas Bells"! And then she started talking about how much she enjoyed the harmonies on "I'll Cover You"!

You should do that, Allie. It's a good icebreaker and at least she won't have to be afraid of living with an uncreative and humorless person. casting

Atrias, that's scary. Take the CDs- unless you think she'd end up singing along a capella.

But what if she really does only listen to death metal? I'm not really thinking about jumping out the window! Not when I think we're living on the 20th floor!

Nia, I'm actually going to upstate NY, so no shows for me this time. casting It's actually a family camp thing where we speak Yiddish the whole time. I've been going my whole life and I'm not going to miss it for something as unimportant as school!

Speaking of HAIR, my cd better come tomorrow before my flight or I will not be a happy camper. I ordered it for 13 bucks from barnes and nobles!

Ergh, I should. I can't believe this is the same woman who, a month ago, heard me playing the exact same cd in my room, and greeted it with a, "Joanna, turn that damn cd down now!" Though I suspect Cary Shields might have had something to do with it. Oh, you know what else she did? She took the picture of her and Cary Shields to work with her today and was showing it off to all her work buddies. She told them that he was her "date" for the night. I'm not sure how Dad feels about all this...

Yiddish? You speak Yiddish? Can you type something for us? That's nifty.

Allie, if you jumped, you'd never get to talk to us again. Or see Adam. Or daylight. Think positively. If she is intolerable, you might be able to switch.

Atrias, that's the funniest thing I've heard all day!

Okay, here's a question: My building is 33 storeys tall. If my apartment number is in the 2000's, which floor do you think I'll be on? I can't find it anywhere! I'm assuming 20th, and that makes me sad. It's so high!

Which, the cd thing or the Cary Shields thing? The Cary thing is actually more disturbing if I think about it.

Who knows, maybe it means you'll be on the second floor! I hope it's not on the twentieth, that would suck majorly. I'm so glad my school only has three floors.

Allie

Definitely the Cary Shields thing!

I'm also hoping for the 2nd floor. Fingers are crossed!

That's impressive, Elphie. Now what did you say?

If you're on the twentieth, I'll definetly be moving in. I love heights. And I can hold you at night since Ellie abandoned you.

ETA-Atrias, if I may say, the whole Rent-mother thing is odd... Updated On: 8/24/05 at 11:14 PM

Allie, I just looked at your pics. Are you, by any chance, a Degrassi fan?

Allie

Yes, HUGE Degrassi fan! I didn't get to watch much of the new one this year, but I love, love, LOVE Degrassi High!

You can totally move in, Nia. I have a balcony, too. You can hang out there, if you'd like.
