I hate group work. Hate hate hate. I usually wind up doing it myself, either because people slack so much or they turn in stuff that is a disaster. I'd rather just worry about my grade being based on *my* work.

i know what you mean. but my group was GREAT. I was with my two friends/smart people! And we all divided up the work evenly, so it was completely fair. That was the only group i liked working with, because they actually WORKED!

it depends what it is.. if its smart stuff i like group work cause im not that smart, but if its creativity stuff like with ELA I like to do that on my own.

As long as I can have at least someone I know in my group for group projects, then I'm okay with them. Other than that, I HATE group work. I usually get stuckw ith a bunch of people I don't really know, and I'm kind of shy, which makes talking to them not so easy.

What sucks is group projects that have evaluations afterward, so if you don't do your part, you get a really bad grade. And thats really bad when you are in a group with obsessive people who want to do all the work themselves so it will be perfect, and then give you a bad grade because they say you didn't do enough, even though they didn't let you.

I generally despise group projects because either I get stuck doing all the work or someone does something flaky that messes things up for everyone else. In 10th grade, I had this group project in my English class where we had to pick a scene from Twelfth Night and design a set and costumes and pick a song to play in the background, all emphasizing a particular theme from the play and then present our diorama and sketches in front of the class. I had picked the song for our group and done the write-up explaining all of our decisions, and then two days before the project was due, the guy in charge of sketching the costumes informed me that we were doing a different scene than the one we had all chosen weeks ago because he accidentally sketched a costume for a character who wasn't in the scene we originally picked and the sketch was "just too good not to use." Nearly 4 years later, I'm still not sure how I managed to survive and not murder my groupmate.

yess. i hate doing projects with people [most of the time] especially when working on a poster or something. That is what i would want to do on my own
