Your tailbone, Lari?
I know some who broke that once, and it was painful...but chin up!
wow, part three.
i hope it get better quickly lari!
*sends good vibes to Lari*
Hi nia!
I'm pretty good, just started college on Friday, but don't start class till Tuesday
Lemme tell you, Orientation is exhausting :P
Oh no! Lari, you were injured?! I'm so sorry
Yes, it IS painful.
As for CMU being a bunch of supersmart antisocial geeks... that's the reputation. HOWEVER...
It's not really true anymore. Everyone I've met is extremely outgoing, and yet still extremely smart. A lot of people have been going to frat parties, but even the frat parties are a little nerdy. Everyone is extremely nice and friendly here, though, that's for sure.
It is true that we're all a bunch of nerds. But in a good, fun way. ^_^
A lot of the negative stigma you here seems to be... mostly applied to the Computer Science school. They have an unhygienic reputation.
Also, you might hear that we're an 'ugly' campus. Again... there are plenty of beautiful people here. I think the students enjoy playing up the reputation just for kicks. XD It's like an inside joke.

Do you think you'll like your college, star?
Lari, good thing. Now if only she'd listen. What happened to your tailbone, by the way?

I think I will Nia
Like I said, I haven't actually started class yet but I've met a lot of really nice people so far and my roommate is (thus far) an absolute doll
AND I've survived my first official college party without doing anything against my personal morals, so I really do think I'm going to be fine

awww,feel better Lari
I... fell off my loft bed. A five or six foot fall to the floor. *sighs ashamedly*
I checked out a frat party. I didn't like it. I left.

Glad to hear it, star2be.
Ellie, what kind of a Johnny fan are you? You don't RECOGNIZE my avatar and its Johnnyness?
ETA- Lari, AHH! Did you have to go to the emergency room? *shudders* That sounds BAD.

Of course I recognize it, Nia! (FALIL)
But....I miss the prettiness.
Yikes! Falling is scary and is the reason I don't have a bunk bed.

Oh dear lord Lari! I'm so sorry!!
I have a loft bed too
No ER for me. It was like... 2:30 AM, and the lights were out, and I was trying to find the ladder and missed. I'm a retard! So I fell straight to the floor, didn't move for a full 5 minutes and swore to myself. I was scared I wouldn't be able to move or that I'd have to call someone to help me... But I was able to maneuver after awhile.
Besides, what's the ER gonna do? There's nothing much TO do with a broken tailbone other than wait it out...

That would be so scary!

Did you know that Hunter S.Thompson, who Johnny played in Fear and Loathing, killed himself recently? His ashes were shot into space with a cannon, paid for by Johnny. Isn't he swell?
I heard of that, Ellie. Johnny Depp and Hunter were good friends.
And yeah, nia, it was pretty scary. My roommate was out at a party, still... heh. :O

Did you know that Johnny now owns the gun and ammo that Hunter used to kill himself, which he did while on the phone with his wife and with his son and daughter in law in the next room? And that Johnny lived in Hunter's basement for quite a chunk of time before shooting Fear and Loathing in order to learn more about the man he'd be portraying on film?
It wasn't recent, either. Feburary 20th. His ashes were shot eight days ago, though.

I knew you'd know Nia! 'Twas for the benefit of other less-informed posters. I didn't mean to be patronizing.
But no, I didn't know (some of) that.
