$100 for a show, I had almost forgotten they still charged that much.
I haven't paid that in years, with the exception of AIDA's last show.

Ooh, Emcee - a friend of mine just got back from NY today, where she saw Chitty! To quote her, 'the guy in the lead was fantantastic, and cute too...'. She's a completely Broadway- illiterate.
And what's this talk of premium seats for about $275? Who'd pay THAT???
I may pay about $100 for a certain show at the end of April next year.
I really don't understand paying "premium" especially for something I found as disappointing as Spamalot, I would have shot the person who gave me the ticket. (Except for hating guns and being a pacifist)
awww, my Latin lover.
What show, penguin? DRS, I assume, but why then?

Why did you find Spamalot disappointing, pengers?
No sillies! (Although I might for Norbert's last show)
The RENT 10th Aniversary show!
I am a huge python fan, I went in with really big expectations and the show was ok, with some parts I really did not like at allcheerleaders, "I am alone," The whole last half of the second act, trying to make it coherent sometimes but not others)There is a lot more but I'll be brief.
I'm a bit late, but... Between 'PINK FLOYD'S THE WALL' and 'TARZAN', I'd love it for Adam to do 'The Wall'; but I'm actually a fan of some of Phil Collins work as well, so I'm happy enough about Tarzan. The story is just okay, but the design and choreography could be interesting, so as a whole it still could be an interesting piece of theatre. And, as I said, I did enjoy Phil Collins songs and Mark Mancina's score in the movie.
That said, I am also someone who would be willing to see a bad show for a performer I think highly of, because often times the performance itself is worth hearing, no matter what the material is like. I'd probably try not to pay full price, though.

Who wouldn't want to see Adam in a loincloth?
I'd definitely try to see any of of my favorite performers any time I can, mostly 'cos I love them and I don't want to miss any aspect of their career. And if the show is bad, that just means that they need my support even more!
Aww, pengers...how did you get a reduced price ticket for Spamalot, anyway? Sorry you loathed it. I love nearly everything I ever see, but usually that feeling fades with time.
Exactly, Ellie. And then I see things over and over and over and... over. heh.

A little stalking never hurt anybody, now, did it?
I prefer to call it "appreciation."
I always enjoy APRECIATION!
I usually love shows, although there have been more lately that I didn't, the problem happens when I get to really picking. I don't mean to do it but it happens.
I bought my Spamalot tickets the minute they went on Sale so I was able to get them for a little less, they were also Balcony so I didn't pay $100, I did pay more than the $30 or so I usually pay.
Well I'm off for awhile. Enjoy!

Student Rush is my not-so secret lover.

What exactly is student rush, Emcee?
The exactly procedure depends on the show, but you get cheap tickets at the box office the day of the show. You've usually got to present student ID, but tickets are usually $20 or $25.

Hey! Maybe I can... not be poor, then!
That's the only way I manage to see so much stuff!

It all makes sense now. I was wondering how, as a college student, you could afford to go see Chitty so many times.
Do all theatres have student rush policies?
Most of them do... few exceptions this season, but they do have some form of cheap tickets. For example, ASU doesn't have rush, but they have $20 seats in the balcony.
Chitty has an AMAZING rush policy, I'm so happy.

Well, if Chitty has a great policy and I have money after my birthday, I'll probably find myself there, much to my parents' dismay.
And with that, I sleep. Thanks for that, Emcee!

Is Chitty the new Aida for you, Emcee? How many times did you see that, ten or something?
From the Playbill story on the RENT movie blog page:
"Additional blog entries will soon be posted by Idina Menzel (Maureen), Jesse L. Martin (Tom Collins), Rosario Dawson (Mimi), Taye Diggs (Benjamin Coffin III) and Tracie Thomas (Joanne)."
I wonder if they simply left out Adam accidentally, or if he's dragging his feet?
ha, only five, Ellie. And not really.... I'm not in love with it the same way. I'm actually aware of the fact that it's not good. More of a guilty pleasure, I think.
Ugh, I hope it was an accident, Chloe!
