Lion King was a complete waste of two and a half hours of my life. Pretty to look at lasts all of a second for me, then I start to cringe. I pity actors with bad material, they must be embarassed.
Hi, alicia.
Eh, better than it could've been... I guess. I was about ten when I saw it. Maybe 11.
I have to agree with Nia again.
I think it may have been better if I had seen it when I was that age, of couse I was older than 11 when the movie came out

I saw Lion King about a year and a half ago, and the best part of it for me was *surprise* the choreography, and maybe two or three of the new songs.
There's actually a Tarzan show at Disney World. It's in a rock concert format w/ a guy singer and two female back-ups. There's "dancers," they rollerblade around and/or swing from ropes. I didn't like it at all, and hope so much that this is NOT what the musical is like.

hi nia!
i agree about lion king. i think i fell asleep during parts of it. the lady next to me gave me this weird look. hehe.. good sets, but boring.
I remember being like "eh, I know the story," but (especially at that age) being in complete awe with the design.
And Julie Taymore is a GENIUS.

Penguin, is someone trying to suck up to me?
I suppose the copious amount of rippling chorus boy muscle was a good thing, but the rest made me cringe. No offense, Emcee.
And where is that photo in your avatar from? Does anyone else think Adam has an odd chin? (don't look at me funny.)

Muscular chorus boys in The Lion King? This I don't remember. I think I liked it so much because I was a kid, though. It's all magical... and stuff.
It's from the after-party for Chess. ::looks at you funny::
And you KNOW if he did Tarzan and you could get to New York, you'd go.
Suck up? me? never!
ok, maybe.

Emcee, I don't want to sound mean, but... I really don't think I would. Much as I love Adam, I would not spend money on a show I hate. If the material is bad, I will not enjoy myself no matter who is in it. I really don't think I'd see Chitty if I had the chance, either, because the snippets of music I've heard make me want to hurt the composer.
And yes, the heat and sweat on stage was all that kept me awake through Lion King. Mmm.
Pengie, do I look like a lollipop to you?
Why don't I remember this?!
Oh, pft. If it was a decision between seeing one of them live for the first time ever in a not-so great show, or potentially not seeing them at all, ever, you're telling me you'd skip it?
Lollipops scare me.
I little bit, I had a Vader lollipop when I was a kid. I don't suck lollipops usually though...
It is really hard for me to enjoy a if I don't like the material. Chitty is the perfect example. I love Raul and even loved him in the show, but I did not like the story or music or spectacle so I can't imagine seeing it again.
if adam was a lollipop...
if tony was a lollipop...
I feel a haiku coming on...

Pengie, did you just say you didn't care for his performance?
Cats' you'd just suck him. Nothing poetic about that.
Emcee, if there was a better show around, I would pass up Adam or Raul. One person isn't worth a hundred bucks.
*huggles Vader* He's not edible!
Oh dear God.
Guys, who remembers the pretty wall in my dorm? It's all gone.
There are so ways to get around the $100 factor - excuses, excuses. I don't believe you.
You can't huggle that thing.
Vader looks edible, but maybe if Amidala is in the suit I might be even more interested.
No I loved Raul's performance, I didn't care for anything else in the show. Interestingly I particularly did not like Kudish and Maxwell and the car.
I'm sorry your room most be dismembered Em.

*huggles Vader defiantly*
Believe what you will.
I have got to go and work on my research paper. I'm trying to write it with minimal amounts of planning and it's just not working.
ah, you must learn to do unplanned research papers, yet.
You'd go see him. :-P
I'd see adam or tony in poop the musical if it meant getting to see them live...
Unplanned is the way to go for all research papers!
I sat through we will rock you in vegas just to get to see tony. and I didn't pay no 100 bucks either...
nia's just being silly.
