Hello, lovelies. I missed you, and yes, a few crumbs of a lofe were tossed my way last night. Not worth it, though.
I haven't seen Bee, but the way you all talked about it is exactly how I feel about Q. Nice to know I'm not insane.
*waves goodbye* Off to finish my paper, back later.
Snaps, with that icon anyone would think you were a kiddie. But that makes you more huggable.
Hi, just looking in to pass on a little bit of news. Someone who's been working on the RENT movie has posted that he's seen a trailer!

It was from someone on CompulsiveBowlers, I think.
That's right, though I do google around quite a bit, a lot of what I find is from sites like CB that I look at regularly. How are you guys today?

Maybe you have spring fever - though it supposedly to makes people restless and crazy, I think it can also make you lethargic. Did you have a bad time last night?
I am trying to actually right a paper, but have only gotten the outline and one paragraph done.
It's a beautiful day, too bad you have to write a paper. I just spent an hour or two outside in the yard, which was great.

I'm attempting a research paper. Or I was. It's not due for another two weeks, though, so naturally I'll continue to put if off, since I now feel that I've at least put a dent in it.
I'm up to two paragraphs. That is a dent, right? I mean its not due until... well it is due on Monday.
oooh, trailer news.
Two weeks ahead, Snaps? I'm kicking you out of the Procrastinators Club right now! Two paragraphs is certainly better than nothing, penguin. How long is the paper supposed to be?
*grimaces*
15 pages
*slinks away*
ooh, the penguin has a hat!
Ach! I don't remember having to write papers that long, but then I never went to grad school. That's a *very* cute hat!
Hey Emcee, I went back to check my link, and he's taken down his RENT posts, aside from the casting call. Weird. Did you get to see the trailer section?
It's getting warm, need some shade. Plus, I'm embarased about my lack of paper progress so I'm hiding my face.
I had some in undergrad, but it is worse now.
-thanks Em and chloe, I love the hat!

That's my kind of hat, Penguin.
Yeah Chloe, I clicked that link and there was a paragraph on the trailer.

From DivaThespian on the CompulsiveBowlers forums:
"They also finished editing the SOL scene, and showed it to the cast and crew. From what I hear it looked great. It's still them lined up on a stage singing, but during the song it looks back at each of their lives together and apart. From what I hear this is the opening to the movie. The exciting part is who plays the Soloist one and two. you ready....soloist one is....Tracy Thoms, she sounds Fantastic! and soloist two is Jesse L Martin, equally fantastic."
Thoughts?
Huh! Well I can't see it any more...
CB has a lot of new stuff today. An extra posted a lot of info about the La Vie Boheme shoot which finished yesterday - probably more than he should have. What he said was that the cast and crew got a look at the edited version of Seasons of Love, which was a montage of all the characters and their relationships, rather than a trailer, but who knows.
What do you think about SOL for the trailer? I guess it's the most well-known song from the show, but it doesn't really represent RENT musically for me very well.
ETA: Sorry, Snaps, didn't see your post until just now!

Musically it's not too representative, but thematically, it's probably the best choice - other than LVB, which can be confusing if you haven't had much exposure to RENT, I feel like.
I'm gonna go read CD - maybe that'll get me to crack a smile.
::sleeps::
Interesting that they haven't got "a soloist," but I'm glad they gave it to JLM. Can't comment on Tracie, since I don't know how she sounds. Adam does a bang-up job with that solo, but they'd not have given it to Roger.

All of this new info is giving me a (false?) sense that we're going to see a trailer -very- shortly.
The suspense is killing me.
Well, there have been other indications a trailer might come out around this time. I wonder if they'll do a trailer "premiere" on TV like was done for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe during Harry Potter.
I'm not surprised they gave the solos to principals. They really have become the ensemble for the movie, since they don't have a small group of actors doing several different parts. And of course Roger isn't right for the solos, but I loooove the way Adam sings that.
