No wig, though! He'd look hideous as a blonde. And the haircolor would suck all of the intelligence from his brain.
Peng, great new avatar.
Snaps, you live in NY? Why was I thinking you didn't... *jealous* Damn Ohio.

Nope, Nia; I don't live in New York, unfortunately. I actually live around Philadelphia, which is just about two hours from Manhattan.
I actually thought Adam was more of the Jesus type and that Raúl would be a better Judas... but as long as one or both are in it, I'm happy.

I'm seeing a production of JCS on Wednesday, I'll offer my opinion then. You know I'll be sitting there thinking of which broadway people ought to play which part.
Nifty, Snaps. Do you go up to the city a lot?

Hello all!
I like this talk of Adam and Raul in JCS... I remember watching an ALW concert DVD thingie a few months ago and thinking how good Adam would be in that show (this is before all of the Raul/Chitty Chitty Bang Bang-ness, so I don't think I really knew who he was)
Oh, and speaking of Chitty, there was a nice article about the show in my Playbill today when I went to see Wicked. Apparently Raul is afraid of heights.
(And if you're interested, Jenna was on as Elphaba today; I posted a review on the main board.)

Well, now that we've got a campaign going on, let's just hope that the concert really is 'Jesus Christ Superstar.'
Nia, I guess that you mean The City as opposed to the city? If you mean New York, then I guess I get up there fairly often. When I was younger, we'd go up all the time, but when I got into school, we stuck closer to home. Now that there's a reason for me to be there, I can usually convince my parents to take a trip up. I've been four or five times this year, I think.

Nope, Ellie! What's life worth if you don't wonder about things?
ballerina, I have that playbill too (my friend gave me one from DRS). Poor baby.
Wowie, Snaps. How does it compare to Philadelphia? I have a friend going to college there.

Well... I'd rather spend a weekend in New York than in Philly, I'll give you that. Like most cities, Philadelphia's got its nice places, (University City, for instance, is a fun place to hang around, with nifty places to eat, such as Cereality and The Bubble House, and the Avenue of the Arts is generally fun) but it just seems that it's got more down than most cities. This could be because I live so close, but you know how that is. All we seem to hear about on the news is how the schools are failing and how many bystanders got killed and how many people got murdered and how bad John Street is. I feel so out of place in Philadelphia, but... again, that's just me. A lot of kids in my school are itching to escape into Philly.
I absolutely ADORE Philly. But then again, that's because I'm a history geek.
Raul for Jesus. That made me LOL.

See, history isn't my thing. Plus, we've taken the same trip of Independence Hall every three or so years since first grade. After a while, you learn that headphones under a hat is the best way to go when on said tour. I guess if I had grown up thinking that there was something of the city outside of American history and people with guns, I would be more keen to go there now.
But I'm learning. I can definitely stand to be there more than I could a few years ago, when the lack of trees made me queasy. It's very likely that I'll be in college in the city, so...
-Dons Phillies cap- Hoagie, anyone?
For some reason I thought you were from Boston! Maybe it's because you said you'd take the bus from Chinatown, and the only one of those busses I knew of was from Boston's China town to the one in NYC.
ETA - ballerina, I LOVE THAT ARTICLE.

Apparently, there are a whole lot of busses that go to and from New York, all over the east coast. That, I'm sure, is going to prove very useful when I'm a poor college student.
But, nah. I'm frem Philleh, leand'v hoagies 'n scrapple 'n weid speech.
Yeah, the Boston/NYC Chinatown bus is only ten bucks!
I can't even understand half of that. I'm a born and bred New Yorker!

Ten bucks round trip? Geez. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Translation: But, no. I'm from Philly, land of hoagies, scrapple, and weird speech.
heh. Thank you.
And it's not a long ride, either - four hours, maybe. You can drive it in three, but whatever.

G'night Snaps!
You're not from NYC though, Emcee, are you? Or are you?
Are you from Poughkeepsie! I love that town! Poughkeepsie, Poughkeepsie, Poughkeepsie! Hooray!
Rotfl, Snaps. Goodnight, dear!
I'm originally from "upstate," Ellie. To people in The City, it's upstate, but I'm really only about 60 miles North. I tell people from REAL upstate (read: hicktowns) that I live "upstate," and they laugh at me. It's basically an area that can be considered a suburb of NYC - on the other side of the Hudson from Poughkeepsie.

I see - so neither the city nor Upstate will accept you as their own.
Poughkeepsie is such a great name for a town, though!
haha, it is! I applied to a college there!
I have no niche. ::sulks::
pft, whatever. I just as well tell people I live in Manhattan.
