Well, they know I make fun like it's my job. But my mom heard the intro (she loves Hair) and was like "Well, this is the perfect song for him!" She wanted to know if there was video, after realizing that this is why I get such a kick out of the choir back-up of "he got his ASS!" She figured he probably had fun singing it.

Lost cause. I've been trying for... almost two years now. She liked him in AIDA - thought he did a good job, was cute, whatever, but she doesn't get why I love the voice.

She hasn't seen the show... so, if she still hasn't by then, I don't know what to do. I think I want her to see it on stage first, to have the full experience. I want her to be able to understand why it's so special, and why I'll probably be a wreck during the movie.

That makes sense, then. It's what I'm telling my friends who want to see the movie but haven't seen the show on stage. We're going to try to catch a bus from Chinatown right when school lets out specifically so those people can see it. ^^

Great stuff I missed out on here, LOVE the Adam and Raul JCS ideas! Although personal physical presences I'd rather see Raul be Jesus (so tired of blond pretty Jesus's) However I would die to hear the two of them sing the music! Maybe Sara Ramierez as Magdaline?

Don't laugh at me for knowing this, but his eyebrows are actually kind of light. They could let him pass for a blonde.

It's funny, 'cause in "Hair" he sings "My toga made of blonde... biblical hair... I want hair like Jesus wore it, hallelujah I adore it..."

Meh, those aren't the exact lyrics, but you get the point.

I'm pretty sure somewhere in that acid trip that was Nicoli's Gospel Bus Revival, he wore a wig. But, it wasn't a real wig - it was like... drawn in cartoon form around his head.

In all seriousness Raul playing Jesus with his natural hair (not to mention his voice and charisma) would be fantastic. Also I REALLY want to see the Jesus/Judas relationship with Raul putting his "spin" on it. Even though it would just be a concert type thing I'd want to give him some kind of Tony right there.
