It's all so confusing, Chloe. So much is rumour, that it's almost impossible to figure what is/was truth. ::shrug:: I guess it's all sort of moot now, though.
So do I, Ellie. Goodnight!
Suppose I'll stay and be the little chatterbox that I am a bit longer.
So much better how it turned out, and Columbus seemed to be saying in the clip, that it was he who was going to have Timberlake as Roger. I would have burnt the master copy of that film so it would never be seen.
Nia, I see Star Wars tomorrow too (although I know you probably will not see this)
I FINNALLY finished my big three papers! Now I just have three more and I am DONE!
Night, Ellie! And who would have guessed it would have worked out this way - Broadway stars NEVER get to do their parts in the movie. Ethel Merman, Mary Martin, even Julie Andrews in My Fair Lady were all considered too theatrical or too old or too young and unknown. I remember when it was first announced so many RENT fans were saying it couldn't be true for one reason or another.

Or usually the movie comes first, no? I always forget what the case was with actors like Joel Grey and Yul Brenner, the more famous of the ones who played the same role both on stage and in film. I want to say the Cabaret film came first, but it's late. I forget things.
It almost seemed... too good to be true, but then there were so many reasons why it wouldn't be, too. Age, lack of stardom...
oh, Ellie snuck in there!
With The Producers, though, I think it's a little different. The original stage stars are also big movie stars, so there was reason to cast them far beyond the reasons they had to cast the RENT OBC, which was mainly for reasons of integrity.
