I really want to put a hooded sweater on right now. If they get on me, I'm going to have an attack of some sort.

Anyway, what are you guys up to? Anything fun?

Paper? In the summer? Oy. I'm glad I don't have summer work this year...

Hoodies are the greatest things EVER.

A paper on "the significance of literary devices and their effects in Catch-22". Why yes, it is tedious. I mean, I like language as much as the next person who likes language and dislikes scouring passages for similes, but you know how it is. I mean, if the languages isn't sharp enough to stick in my mind and I have to go back and re-read it eighteen times, it's just not enough to write a paper on.

You can't go wrong with black, Emcee. Or a really, really dark wood, maybe?

Anyway, my dears, I have to go. My room is a HUGE mess, and it makes me sad to look at it. Time to blast some Civilian and clean! I can't WAIT! WOOOO!

ugh, I'm sorry nia. I had to re-read that book eighteen times anyway, and I didn't have a paper... just an exam. Hoodie fans

It's like ninety degrees here. Otherwise I'd be wearing a hoodie.

Emcee, I know you weren't serious about framing that....

I love the book to bits, but I'm starting to hate the section I'm pyschoanalyzing.

Allie, you freak. I don't know what to say except that I want you to move in here and be MY maid. With an (in)appropriate costume, of course.

The one he signed? I'm totally serious.

Bye, Allie! I still can't believe you like to clean. I kind of wish I did.

Sigh. I want my hoodie. Fits my mood.

I'd frame the picture he signed. Good luck on that paper, Nia. I've actually never read Catch 22.

AND BYE, ALLIE!! Hoodie fans

Shut up, nia. I have to preserve the love that is shown by a written note about chest hair.

Maybe I'll go work on my non-tan. I'm almost reflective, as it currently stands.

Emcee, he loves you like how Adam loves his Book of Endings subjects...

Kidding. (just so you know)

Lari, Catch-22 is really good. Get it.

I read it before my sophomore year, I think.

Shut up, niaaaaa. *whine* :-P

Okay, I'm gonna go bask in some upstate New York solitude before my day gets any weirder and before I'm required to spend my existence googling.

I'm a RUSSIAN kind of white. I understand the 'reflective' feeling, Emcee...

But I don't really tan. I just burn. Then go back to white.

And I shall read it, after I read my pile of other books.

Me too, Lari. Slash German and Polish, but I suppose the Russian-ness accounts for the white.

I don't tan easily. Nor do I burn easily, but when I burn, it's bad.

My pile of books... is still a large pile of books. It grows. All the time.

So jealous, Emcee.

YOU CAN DO IT, NIA! *cheers you on*

And thank you. I'll never really be able to change my paleness. However, one miraculous year, I tanned ORANGE... pfft, Never want THAT to happen again.

Yay for Emcee understanding the Russian paleness. My friend's German, and she tans VERY nicely.

And, yeah. I'm reading The Historian right now, but I gotta read harry Potter when it comes out, and Mystic River, and... too much other crap. XD

Yes, good luck, nia!

Orange? I have a friend who says she doesn't tan, she "pinks."

Alright, really going now. Talk to you all later.

Not sure if anyone else is still around. I've gotten nothing done, by the way, unless you count eating chocolate and reading.

I pity the pinkers. It must be painful. One time my family was on vacation with another family and one guy got so badly burned that we could just peel his skin off. In the shape of a butterfly. Fun times.

Lari, I'm excited for Harry too, (I'm dying to know how he did on his OWLS... is that sad?) but I hate how commercialized it is.

I'm not as excited for Harry this time. You know why?

The fifth book felt like a bad fanfiction.

YES, I DARED TO SAY IT. I started reading it, and it felt like just another run-of-the-mill fanfiction. Eventually, it pissed me off, cuz I knew that if it really WERE a fanfic, I just might have flamed it.

I sure hope Half Blood Prince is better.

And, for god's sake, J.K. Rowling needs to STOP introducing new characters. Poor Lupin was so shafted in the fifth book. He needs more screen time/character development.

I don't really read fanfic, but Harry's angst annoyed me. He was too much of a diva, but that aspect of the character isn't so far from the truth of teenhood if you think about it.

Lupin is awesome. And is it just me, or do you think that maybe he and Sirius were very, very, very good 'friends'? I mean, they do say that Sirius was quite the prettyboy but never had girlfriends.... think about this... I definetly got some of those vibes.

And he better not be really dead.

If you add tons of new characters, phase out some of the old ones and develop the new cast.
