emcee-there's a translation?
ditto. i remember listening to the song all the way through for the first time and being like "holy crap! adam's been condemned!"
I never thought to check the translation. *does so*
From the CD insert -
"Indian chant translation:
I would accept death, but what can I do,
My soul will not depart, give me a
Corner of your lap to rest in.
May God keep happy the one who gave my heart
Such pain, may he give the world's riches to the one who made Me suffer."
Musically, it's such a great song. But it creeps me out.
Mother's Child has been, and always will be, one of my favorite Adam songs, creepy or not.

Thanks!
I have to re-do the order of the coloring, because the yellow doesn't show up so well over his arm and the purple is too dark a shade, but I'll do that tonight. I made this thing at like two in the morning, so well enough for now!

gosh that translation is creepy.
Lari-agreed. i love the refrain of Mother's Child. The rest just creeps me out a bit though.
