At first I was disappointed with the lack of Cary, but I might like Josh better. He has a beautiful voice, and the portrayal was spot-on.

What was his take on Roger, Emcee? I know that Cary plays him a bit more reserved, while Dan Rosenbaum, of the most recent tour was throwing people and things across the stage.

Josh was a really nice mix of that reserved, broken Roger that Cary plays (a bit like Adam did, I guess) and Jeremy's REALLY angry Roger. He has fantastic chemistry with Matt and Karmine, too, the latter of which I can't say for Cary. He's got a lot of sexy charisma, but not as much chemistry with her as Josh does. His Roger has a really sweet side that's trying to poke out, and I liked that.

i really love Cary's Roger, ok I said that
I never saw Adam do it, but I think I prefer that by huge amounts to a "tantrum prone" Roger.
Splitting the difference, well I just need to see it.

I loved Dan's Roger. He scared me with his royal bitchiness, sure, but I loved his performance, and again, his voice was excellent.

That is just totally not the way I personally see the character, I appreciate different choices though and think there is a legitimate edge to the character but that much of the anger ruins the character for me.

I am agape at the idiocy expressed in that thread, there is no more I can say.
