hello

Early Sunday afternoon bump.

Very good advice, Cam. Someone very wise must have told you that at one time... hello
#10452

#10453

hello

Did you just get up? It's nice to sleep in sometimes.
#10454

hello

Yeah, but I was also up until two thirty!

#10455

hello

Oh, ouch. You must have made quite a dent in your boxes, though.
#10456

hello

A small one! I basically just pulled things out of boxes and stuck them on the floor, so I could see what I had.

hello

You'll be moving things around for weeks yet, anyway, until everything's just where you want it!

I have to go finish doing the dishes. hello I'll talk to you later!
#10458

hello

Exactly. I definitely will. I want my roommate to come down to help, because then I can know where SHE wants her stuff - I can't do it all alone. Some of this configuration makes no sense, but it was the best I could come up with. boo.

hello

Awwwwe, Emcee... Well, try your best. You might be moving things around for awhile after your roommate gets there, but at least everything'll be out of the boxes, right?

hello

Yeah. I just talked to my roommate, and she was like "it's okay. Just let things float around for a while. You know, like in space!"

hee, I love her. so I'll do what I can and get the boxes out of the way. hello

So, what'd you see?!

#10464

hello

First afternoon I bugged and bugged my parents, and we got tickets to Chitty. We went with some friends who by complete coincidence happened to be staying in New York at the exact same time as us. It was really fun, there was a great audience, and everything went off without a hitch. Plus, I now understand every bit of obsession over Raul.
On Thursday, we saw RENT. I was most worried about this one, as my parents are more...well, on the conservative side. I needn't have feared. When Angel died, my mom was bawling. After the show ended, and everyone was getting autographs, she dragged me up with her so that she could have an excuse to get her picture taken with Cary Shields.
Finally we saw Wicked, which was good, but nothing to obsess over, except for the fact that after the show was over, Mom said, "You know, I think I liked RENT better."
*stretches fingers*
Well, you asked...

hello

RAUL IS SEX.

Glad you had fun. And yes, I agree--I think RENT is better, too.

#10467

hello

He didn't come out of the stage door, though. I waited...
#10468

hello

Yeah, apparently he's bailing lately. Oh well - he'll get over it. I've given up after waiting around for like an hour more than once. Okay, more than twice.

Lots of sex?

Did I just say that?

#10471

hello

But why couldn't he have gotten over it *before* I got to New York? Grrr. I got autographs from everyone else, tho. BTW, what's your opinion on the current Rent cast? It took me awhile to adjust to some of the voices.
#10472

hello

UGH CHEST HAIR. hello

I don't mind the current RENT cast. Matt Caplan... ... Eh.

#10473

hello

Because he's ridiculous. Mail him something - he'll send it back pretty quickly - personalized, signed, notes about chest hair, whatever. hello

I like the current cast a lot - I saw the show Wednesday - saw Josh Kobak as Roger. He's my new favorite (of those I've seen live) and Ava (from the tour) on as Maureen - she didn't do much for me until TMOLM. She doesn't have as much presence as I wish she had, but she has a KILLER voice. I hate Matt Caplan, but perhaps less than I used to - he just plays Mark as too much of a horny guy, which isn't the way I feel like it should be, at all. LOVE LOVE LOVE Karmine.

hello

I didn't mind Matt Caplan at all, actually. I wasn't such a big fan of the girl playing Mimi, though. I think it might have been an understudy.
#10475

hello

Ava went on as Mimi a few days ago, I heard. Is that who you saw?

And seriously, write to Raúl. Send something creative, you'll get a silly response.
