what pm?
::waves wearily::
Hi - very tired tonight, so I'm off to bed shortly.
Emcee, you mentioned something about seeing more Kate Winslet movies - you know she's married to Sam Mendes, right?
SHE IS?!?!?!?
ahhhhh. That makes her even BETTER.
Oh yes, for a while - they have a little boy. I think she's a really good actress, too, and one of the few movie stars to dare to resist the skeletal look.
Oh...wow. I didn't realize, because I just figured out how to access my PMs. Yeah, I'm just that challenged. I was going to write a post asking you how to access them, and then I looked at the left side of my screen and was like, "Oh. It's right there!"
ha, just click on the alert!
And yes, that's one of the things I definitely admire about Kate. (And I do love me some Titanic. I know, awful.)
I think Titanic was very enjoyable, though not the kind of movie I want to see over and over. The type of ingenue part Kate Winslet had in it is very hard to play interestingly, in my opinion, and she did a great job.
Atrias, enjoy your reading!
Edited because I can't think clearly enough to write a complete sentence.

I'm embarassed to say that I actually own the movie poster!
Oh, I did, Chloe. I did. Except now I'm all confused about Raul. *goes off to read thread*

Atrias, the PM might be a little confusing to someone not aware of a lot of past history here.
Don't be embarrassed, Emcee, lots of people would love to have that poster.
By the way, I love the current thread title. Like I said, I'm reliving my adolescence, cybersitting around with a bunch of girls and giggling.
uh oh. Sorry I confused you, Atrias. PM me, though.
gah. I can't believe she's married to Sam Mendes!
Hi nia! Yes, we're talking about the wonderfulness of Kate Winslet and how she's also married to Sam Mendes.
ETA: I really have to go to bed now - see you later!

Goodnight!
And with everyone off to bed so early, maybe I won't be up forever. But I don't really want to sleep yet.
I was up til almost four last night - organizing my bookshelf. heh.
ooo, titanic - i had three titanic 3-D poster type things from sam goody hanging in my basement for the longest time - one with leo, one with kate, and one with the movie title. we got them for free when sam goody was done with them for some reason but i think i actually saw the movie after we had gotten rid of them.
and all those college courses you were talking about before sound so good. i can't wait! i just wish i didn't have to go through the whole application thing first.
When I was a kid (I'm talking like first grade) I had this really odd obsession with the *actual* Titanic story. I've been fascinated by it ever since, and I've always been a total history geek. So, when the movie hit, I wasn't like "OMGLEONARDOOOOOO!" but I was like twelve, and totally into the history of it.
I was SUCH a weird kid.
that's awesome. i was the opposite in terms of the movie and lots of other movies and tv shows like it. all my friends had seen the movie and talked about it but i didn't see it until years after it came out. then i was like, "o, i get why everyone loves him now."
hah. I saw it like... the day it came out. With my mom.
I've never truly gotten Leo's appeal, though - the only thing I really loved him in was Catch Me if You Can.
I've always been a huge history geek, myself. I didn't see it for Leo, that's for sure.
Leo isn't really my type when it comes to men, though...
i loved that movie. i don't know if i've seen him in anything else. after the movie, i read the book catch me if you can. it's so much fun to read and hard to believe that that was a real person's life.
I totally forgot that it was a book. heh.
And mine either, Lari.
he's not mine either really. i don't think he's that attractive.
