heh. You'd think Columbia WOULD be entirely wireless; they have a network, but it's hard to pick up. boo.

I am, as of now, REGISTERED FOR COURSES! **giggle**
#10580

**giggle**

I'm very excited... I'm trying out some things, since I have NO idea what I plan to do with my life. English, Italian, Psychology, Anthropology, and Intro to Theatre.
#10582

**giggle**

But that's why you're there; to figure it out!

I'm taking Political Science, American History, Theatre History and Spanish - so far. Need one more!

aww. all those courses seems really interesting.

**giggle**

Theatre history sounds fun. What kind of course do you need? Are there any requirements you need, or is this just an elective?
#10585

**giggle**

Hopefully they are! **giggle**

Actually, Allie, that's the one I wish I was *more* excited about. It's the first half of the theatre history section, and it's from ancient Greek theatre to pre-Shakespeare. I don't think I'll like it as much as the theatre class I took last semester, which was a bit of "modern" history as American theatre goes, and criticism, as well as an overview of the creative process. (It's required, assuming I major in theatre.)

I have five classes plus a Computer Skills Workshop. I'm sorta doing things I like... but I gotta get my gen ed requirements out of the way, too. Oy. Either way, I'm planning to go to law school, soooo WOO!

I'm taking General Chem I, Calculus I (again. AUGH I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DON'T TAKE FOURS FOR AP TEST SCORES), Freshman Seminar--Intro to Russian Culture, Elementary French I (take THAT, Spanish. Although I might switch back later), and Intro to World History. I love history and languages, so... It's all good.

And the Chem was just in case I decide to go to Med School instead, but that's just so remote it's ridiculous. I'm pretty sure I'm going to law school.

Next semester, I'm gonna fit in a Psych and Poli Sci course. Cuz that's the stuff I WANT to do with my life...

CMU has a really wonderful psych department, so you should check it out at some point, if just for kicks.

I agree that the more modern history would be more interesting, but this one might surprise you!

Ouch, Lari. The thing that made me happiest to get out of high school: NO MORE SCIENCE! And I haven't taken a math course since eleventh grade!

Every day, my mind changes! Do I want to do English? Theatre? Something else entirely? NO IDEA. As of the spring, my plan was to become a musical theatre high school teacher, but now I have no idea.
#10589

**giggle**

I got out of my math requirement with my AP score, but I have a science requirement that I can't get out of - two semester of class PLUS lab. UGH.

#10590

**giggle**

Yeah, I need two semesters of science, too. BUT MY FOUR ON MY AP CALC TEST JUST DIDN'T CUT IT. *sigh* It's okay, I can deal with a year of Calculus review.

And yeah. I'm planning to major in Psychology, really. Double major in Psych and Poli Sci, if that's possible. I've always been interested in psychology, though, so that's the best place for me to start, I think. **giggle**

**giggle**

Sounds like a nice plan. Psychology will be useful no matter what you end up doing, though. CMU's psych department has some really cool artificial intelligence studies, I remember.

I got a four on my Calc AP. But hey - you and your techie school. **giggle** (totally kidding. My four on US History is completely useless at my school, so it's all balanced out!)

#10592

**giggle**

Yes, that's what I figured! :) And the artificial intelligence stuff sounds really cool, if slightly freaky. I was looking into that, too. But then I'd have to take programming courses, and I'm not sure if I really want to program. I tried that in high school, and I prefer designing web sites to writing actual programs.

Well, at least the 5 I got in AP Art History counted. XD

**giggle**

What did you count it for? I can count my USH score for elective credits, and I *might* be able to get out of one major requirement. Maybe.

LMAO You did?! Ha! You should have brough the picture to show him. XD

And it counts for a Gen Ed requirement for me. So yay, I have... one less class to take for that.
