I've been around, just not much...busy living life to the max instead of sitting around online all day!

And Billy Joe is back. Oh, I love a rockstar in eyeliner.
What does 'living life to the fullest' entail?
I've been attacking the copious amounts of homework that I've ignored all summer. I slacked off in June, July was too busy and now here I am in mid August with lots of work untouched.
Hello ladies!! nice to see you guys back!!!

Well, I was in Cape Cod for a bit, which was, um...a thrill. And I've, er, sunbathed, and well...read some magazines. I started to paint a picture full of vibrant blues and oceanic colors, but I abandoned that in favor of sipping some Coca-Cola.
Lots of work untouched you say... should you be online in that case? Get to it, young madam!
You 'Broadway Legends' are too funny, great to have you back!

Well, I have to be online to gather information relating to Acapulco, but I am not concentrating on that as much as I should.
You sound very.... productive. And I'll take your half-done painting; I've got to turn in ten art projects on the first day of school and I have three done. School starts in fourteen days.
Panicky? Me?
Yes.
JKfan, thanks.
How was Cape Cod? I've never been.

Ooops, sorry Cam - didn't notice your post! Is that you in your avatar? Nice hair!

Seven art projects to go, Nia...what do they involve? Painting, drawing, sketching, sculpture, still life, life drawing, art history? Tell me about the three you've done so far!
I'm guessing photography wouldnt count..

The only requirement for my projects is that I observe myself for an hour and create something relating to how I feel. So far I have one uncatagorizable (Yes, that's a word now)origami.... thing, an arcanely meaningful chalk pastel drawing and a collage. I have plans for a painting or two, a tshirt and painted glass.
Cam, I wish. But even so, I don't know enough about photography to create any real art in the medium.
The hair is growing on me. Worn any colors yet?
does colored eye shadow count??
You dont have to know a lot about photography to take pics that represent how you feel.. I dunno you might try it

Hmmm...that's two days per project, which is plenty of time! A good piece of art needn't take more than a few minutes. But I suppose actually figuring out what you want to do is the hard part. But don't think too hard! Just do it! Don't plan - act!
Have you other work you need to get done too?

I'm an anal perfectionist, but I'll try to keep that in mind.
I have my two Spanish papers done now, but one of them still has to be incorporated into a scrapbook. I'm researching my poster as we post. I also have three lengthy journal entries to complete that have to articulate how I was profoundly changed by my volunteer work, or something to that degree.
Cam, maybe I will. I can pick up a disposable camera somewhere.
Billie is too damned cute in your avatar, Ellie.

Anal perfection and art are a match made in hell! Is the person who'll be grading your projects open-minded? If not, I suppose a more traditional method of creating is what's need. Boo, hiss etc. And I like the photography idea, you're bound to get something good, or at least passable.
Billie is always cute, Nia.

I can't decide if he's cuter than dear Edward or not. Oh well, any guy in eyeliner is hot. I think that should be a bww holiday. Guys in Makeup Avatar Day. If I proposed it on another thread, would you cheer it on?
The art teacher is pretty free-spirited, I think, but I'm worried about technicality. I'm afraid my stuff isn't good enough.
Adam Pacal in eyeliner...
*drools*
Can't wait to see him with it on in the movie. My room is filled with pictures of him and his eyeliner-lious eyes.
You could always to a photography collage.. it's all subjective and since your only guideline were to create something that reflects what you were feeling...

Of course I'd cheer it on! Eyeliner on guys is simply divine...
Don't be worried about technicality or anything else for that matter. Art is totally subjective anyway. Technicality?? What has that got to do with art? Nothing, my dear Nia, nothing!
Boy in eyeliner.. hehe I think he looks like a model..

I'm very picky about collages... I'd do best with a single photo, since I'm pressed for time.
JKfan, what photos are these? Share them. I can't recall Adam in eyeliner at any point other than in Cabaret and the Rent movie flashback scene.
Filled with pictures? *raises eyebrow* You know, I don't have a single Adam-related object anywhere in sight. I do have a plastic spork somewhere, though. And a New Cast Rent poster.
Yay for cheerleaders. I'll do it tomorrow, I've got to go soon because I have to get up early. Damn optometrist.
And thanks, Ellie. I'll try.
