Well, openly in the sense that he doesn't not date men. Not openly in the sense that he talks about it in interviews and what not, a la Cheyenne Jackson, et al.

I talked to some people on AIM, then went to bed early-ish.

In that deleted thread a couple of guys NPH had dated were mentioned - one was Max von Essen, but I can't remember the other. This info came from people who had seen them together, I don't know that Neil himself ever talked about it.

There are quite a few who have 'flings' or relationships or what have you that people do know about, but it's kept very, very quiet. A lot of times it'll be something that's just known, but not spoken about, or something. It's kind of touchy, which may be why that was deleted.

I'm curious, since you saw more of it than I did. Anyone say anything about Raul?

It probably got deleted because some of that stuff isn't stuff that people were open about, but information that leaks out from the "inside" if that makes sense. I guess because so many people on this board know people that would allow them to know things that aren't necessarily public knowledge, it made that a kind of risky thread to keep around.

I'm not sure about Raul, Emcee, but I don't think so. As I said, it was mostly about married or openly gay couples. There were a couple of slightly risque comments, as usual. The funniest thing I can remember was someone saying that no male actor on Broadway could claim to be straight unless he'd made it to thirty without sleeping with other men.

There is a big gaping hole where all the RENT movie news should be, though I guess it couldn't be too much longer until the official site is online. The last I heard was about the shoot in Oakland of Over the Moon, the riot, and Tango:Maureen.

Yeah, it's so strange not hearing about it and seeing pictures. Those two weeks when they were here were really pretty amazing. When they left, I felt like my home lost some kind of really special presence.

To relive it all, I would think. It's great that you can write it all down in such a vivid and detailed way.

Well, since we have no current news to talk about, I was just thinking about No Trace of You. First of all, I wonder where it came from, or if it's one of his "what if" songs like 10,000 Miles. The other thing is I don't care for the background sounds he mixed in. I'd really like to hear it without them sometime - which I guess you did at Kean.

You're probably right, I wasn't sure about the title and since my cat's sitting in my lap, it's obviously impossible for me to get up and check. (My cats have a *very* easy life.)

The background sounds are obviously important to him, since he took the trouble to recreate them live. Where are they on MP?
