They have cheap seats in the back of the balcony, and they're having rush that's subject to availabilty. You must go.

I will be going, I heard about those $20 seats. I so will check it out. I loved your review, I can only barely remember the movie though.
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

The movie makes me feel like I'm hallucinating. The show makes me feel like I'm five, and Raul makes me... very happy.

hahaha nice stuff, very nice stuff. How long have you been in the city Emcee?

Since the end of last August.

That's exactly when I moved here, August 20th or so. I remember you said there was once a Raul love thread, what happened to that? Does he have more songs than Van Dyke did in the movie?
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

There never was one... there was sort of a thread that morphed into a bit of a love fest. It... died.

He has one more, I think.

Cool. All I actually remember is the haircut thing at the fair.

*stumbles in after twelve hours on her feet*

I miss this thread like mad. Anyone around to catch me up on things?
#1611

Adam!

Everyone's been missing each other tonight. I'm also stumbling in, as I had to work today.
#1612

Adam!

Seems everyone from the thread got a lofe this weekend. Emcee has Passover celebrations, I think, QM's up in Toronto doing God knows what. Maybe the muppets up there were getting out of line and she had to take care of it. I've been doing odds and ends most of the weekend and today am headed up to Ramapo for a production of Cabaret, which should be interesting. Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend.
I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

bdway, post or PM about Cabaret. What version are they doing?

#1614

Adam!

My lofe was boring. Glad to be back!

Adam!

My lofe is busy and it starts back up at one. *curses technical theatre*

What happened this weekend?
#1616

Adam!

Nothing, I just had the longest seder of my life because two rabbis were present. Boo.

*is lost*

I'm not jewish. But am I forgiven if I profess my undying love for bagels?
#1618

Adam!

Sure, bagels are good. Adam!

How's everyone doing today? Everything seems slow this morning.

New avatar!

... that's as eventful as it gets.

Adam!

Good yontif, Emcee (don't know if that's how it's spelled or not). I'm not Jewish but I've been to a few seders. No rabbis were present, however, so I have a feeling i got the short version.
#1622

Adam!

Thanks! Any spelling works, really, since it's transliterated. Adam! I usually do get the VERY abridged version, since I usually just celebrate with family friends. But this year I went to visit some family, and there were TWO rabbis! So, yes. Full, intellectual, boring seder. Adam!

Adam!

And a long wait to eat, I imagine! I always liked the part about the glass of wine for... Elijah, is it?

I see Chitty has blown diva Adam off your avatar. That's a nice picture - is it from your stage dooring last night?
#1624

Adam!

Yep, it's Elijah. I used to be so afraid of that part when I was a kid.

And yes, my Raul love is currently at explosive levels. I had SO MUCH fun. The picture is indeed from Friday, but I cut me out!

Adam!

It never occurred to me that the story might frighten kids, but I can understand why.

Lucky you, being able to see Raul live for a while now. Meanwhile, I'm biting my nails over the RENT trailer. I'm going to be soooo busy over the next couple of months, I don't know if I'll be able to see it right away. When I do, it'll be like a punch in the stomach - but in a good way, I hope!
