With very little results, apparently. The proof, as the saying goes, is in the...
Anyway, I love the OBC. But for the movie... I just can't imagine Daphne being able to pull off playing a 19-year-old, on screen.

Yea, maybe someone else for Daphne.. but who? Yasmine would do a good job, and good lord does she deserve it. She's been a swing/understudy for years and years and I would be SO happy for her if she got to actually BE Mimi for once instead of her understudy. I haven't heard of any recent jobs she's had or seen a recent picture of her though, she could very well be in the same boat as Daphne. Anyone know what Yaz has been up to?
Yaz wouldn't have a chance to be cast, I'd be very surprised.
I'd be happy if the OBC just got small parts, at least they'd be part of it and they'd definitely deserve it.
Let's face it, all of the OBC are now too old to play their parts. I think Taye might get away with it and maybe Jesse and Idina too. Is Wilson still around? Hasn't he left the country or something?

Did anyone check out the Network 54 board recently? (Emcee, you must've!)

JeSUS!
Yay! She lives! Glad to hear from you Tiff
'Wilson still around? Hasn't he left the country or something?'
Last I heard, he was in a drug rehabilitation center... That didn't come from a particularly reliable source, but since he has totally dropped off the Bradway radar, there is reason to believe that is true...
thank ya noday, but i've decided even though i handed in a copy today, i'm gonna revise it and hand in another one tmrw, so it's gonna be another sleepless night!
Well good luck with that, as long as your sleepless night is put to use and not worry/stress then all is well Love the avatar by the way...
thank ya noday. did you check out the network54 link? :eyeroll:

I've heard the same rumor about Wilson. Who knows?
QM and TGIF summed up my feelings about Jeremy perfectly. I'm glad I'm not the only person who 'doesn't get' his Roger, I was starting to feel that way.
The OBC for the movie- I would do anything to see it. I really would. I don't actually think Adam is too old. I mean, he is, but I think he just might squeak by as passing for mid-twenties. Daphne definetly doesn't look the part, but can anyone BE Mimi like her? I don't know. Idina and Taye don't look a day older, in my opinion. I think that if they did do it, the whole OBC, they would seem too old because they are, but it would be so well-done that it wouldn't be glaringly obvoius. Does that make sense? (And as a sidenote, Raul auditioned and he's about their age. I think that thirtysomethings aren't out of the question)If they can't be used and it's just my wishful thinking that they're all still young enough, little cameo roles would work. There's no set age to be a Christmas Caroler.
If they were approached like Anthony was (who also looks young enough) I don't think any of them could really say no. It's a leading role in a major film, it's a great career move. People say they won't go back, but nothing is set in stone until it's over.
som! you're on here again? yay!

It's not 'som'....
Yes, I have given up my title as Master Grudge Holder for the time being. (I didn't make that up, many people have agreed that I can give the silent treatment like no other) Lurking for sixty pages just about killed me.
And I forgot to metion the Rent tour before. Last November they were my first-ever Rent cast, so they'll always have a special place. A lot of people didn't like Constantine, but he made me cry.
I LOVED him! He was awesome compared to the other Roger's I've seen (excluding Adam of course) Constantine deserves more fame/publicity. Does anyone know whats he's up to now?

I heard something about American Idol. There was an article, but it was unclear whether he auditioned/got in or was just there with a friend.
but he WAS wearing a jean jacket. natch.
Hmmmmmm well either he wasn't auditioning, or didin't get very far. Oh well, he needs to get is butt back in a musical anyway.

Tiff - I don't know if you saw this but we discussed it a couple of days ago, as well. Who knows... Apparently he is still in the "mulling" stage.

Ooh thank you, amasis! I hadn't seen it before! (Glad to know the majority sides with me.)
Of course I'll still support him, as an Adam fan, if he wants to do it. But I would rather that people acknowledge that he's doing this for a paycheck than making it seem like he's reinventing the wheel. Because he isn't. Because the role won't let him. It's a mediocre role at best. I'm totally with Emcee on this. (NOTE: Emcee, I KNOW you post on Network54 so defend me, dammit!)

Exactly. It's an honest living and nothing to be ashamed of, but if he wants to expand his acting abilities, Fiyero is not the role to take. If there's no other options, go for it, but if he gets something else I would hope he would take it instead. And there's that touring rumor...

I don't think she's online at the moment... I don't know, how do you get the list of who's on the boards? I'm just assuming so because the Adam thread has gone quite a while without a comment from her...

Emcee saw Rent tonight, so she's not here right now.
Emcee is watching RENT tonight, I think.
"But I would rather that people acknowledge that he's doing this for a paycheck than making it seem like he's reinventing the wheel."
Tiff - I actually think very few people are arguing that he should take this because it's a great acting role, although I won't be surprised that there are some who would say that. I think the discussion was mostly that, well, it wasn't realistic to get all worried about whether or not Adam is "too good" for the role, because let's face it... the great roles are few and far between.
emcee's listed as being online. (check under "features" at the bottom, right about "Content" for who's online.)
Thanks Tiff... another 'little known fact that now I know'
Okay so probably everyone else knew that already but oh well...
