Well as of now I have only 44 posts, so I have quite a few posts to go... And yes I will agree that this is rather addicting, but I don't mind. At least here we are having conversation as opposed to being glued to a television

Oh, Glory, you are just getting started... I have something like 5000 posts. And I love your cake! It is better than anything I could bake in Paint.
And I have no friends and thus, no one to laugh at me. So it's all good.
I think I have more friends on this board then I do in real life. And I like all of you A LOT more than my friends outside of the board.
You guys are more fun than a lot of my friends back home.

Agreed ENTIRELY. Highschool girls are snitty, cold and cliquey. This might sound dumb, but there are a lot of days when bww is all I have to look foward to. Someone here is always funny and nice and honest.
Well for what it's worth, I think you all are the most intelligent, insightful, interesting, opinionated, entertaining, kind, funny and thoughtful group of people my age that I know as of now. All the kids at my school care more about dating 'popular' people, and spending massive ammounts of money on clothes, cars, and shoes than they do about getting good grades, going to college or getting a job. You guys aren't like that. You have no idea what a relief it is to come home and be able to read or take part in an intelligent conversation. I've only known you for a little while and I can tell that all of you are going to be successful in life and deserve every penny you get. So don't think of yourselves as 'losers' because when all is said and done, I know you will come out on top

You're about my age, Glory, and it's good to know that some teens out there are above the he-said-she-said-no-way-oh-my-god-no-she-didn't-yes-she-did type of gossip that I am constantly subjected to.
<3s to all.
Aww, I love you Glory! You're a bit older than me, but I know what you're talking about. Every day it's always the "Omg, you said that about her who said that about him who said that her car?" It drives me insane! All they care about is their popular reputation and fitting in with the "in" crowd.
I can't stand that! That's why I love you guys. I can carry on a conversation with you and not get laughed out for being "weird".
'aw, I love this kid!'
'Aww, I love you Glory!'
'<3s to all.'
much love to you all as well...

I do love my dairy products, poni.
As I said on the angst thread, bww is about all I've got. The only people I like are my online buddies. Is this pathetic? Do I need to get a life?
"ok this is cheesy, but you guys really are my best friends."
That is so NOT cheesy! I believe the same thing about everyone! If I didn't have you guys, I would have seriously gone crazy.
No, insomniak, you don't need to get a life. Everyone who doesn't post on BWW needs to get a life.

That made me smile, Diva. Thanks.
I guess the thing I like about online people is that they have no bias toward you until you post. When you try to make friends anywhere else, they see the way you dress or they know things about you from other people, and that's how they form their opinion. People tend to just write others off before even talking to them. Online, though, you get a blank slate. People only know and judge you based on what you post and how you treat everyone else. It's easier to make friends when you can be you and not have to worry if your hair looks dorky or whatever.
That's probably the best explanation on why online friends rock!
There's also no cliquey stuff-- it seems that offline, there's so many cliques! Mostly everyone here are friends. There are some people who are rude and stuff, but on the most part, everyone is so great and supportive and caring. I'd say you're all a lot supportive than my offline friends.

We do have cliques here, but they're a lot more open to new people than offline groups. Point in case: Glory. He just got here, but he's already found friends. And newbies always get lots of welcomes.
"if your hair looks dorky or whatever."
I'm sorry, I have to laugh. My hair is in pig-tail French braids right now. I look like I'm twelve. I'm glad I'm only online and not really being social!

omg. you so did not just say that. lol. that's the EXACT SAME THING FOR ME! like whenever someone says a word it reminds me of you guys are something on the message board. i truly meant it when i said that you guys are like my best friends. you are! i just can't help it!
Yes, that's true. I guess there are cliques, but they're not as bitchy as they are offline.
I love pigtail French braids!

Well, if I have to be a loser, at least it's with fun people.
Emcee, I'm sure you look just stunning in pigtails.
And another thing I love is that you guys don't think I'm a freak for crying over the closing of a show. My friends still call me a freak when I started crying over AIDA.
You guys understand me, I understand you, so it works.
Why thank you, insomniak!
I was over by the Palace last night on my way home from Wonderful Town. I almost cried... still. God, I'm stupid.
I have some okay friends offline, except for the fact that they are only my friends when no one else is looking. I've recently got them hooked on some broadway ie Rent and Aida, but they lie to their other friends about it, as well as obviously lying to me (I know they want to learn more about the shows, but they won't admit it because then I would be right) Oh well. For now it's rather ammusing... The only thing I really cannot stand abot my school is the arts program sucks big time. There are a few very talented people (including myself if that doesn't sound too c*cky) but we are overlooked because we don't annoy the director about how we should have more time on stage. I really don't mean to sound selfish but I seriously would be a better Joseph than the guy that is playing him now, yet I am a brother and ensemble member. There are tons of girls who could be the narrator, but the one who annoys the director the most gets the part. Ummmm HELLO?? Whatever happened to the AUDITIONS?
Broadway Legend Joined: 10/4/03
omg i hate that!!! that happens with the one girl in my school. her mom helps with the production and she is friends with the director. this girl gets the leads without even auditioning! it pisses me off!!

omg i was listening to the AIDA cast recording in my musical theatre class the other day and i started sobbing. everyone was like 'freak!'. that's normal though.
Aww, ponine! I did the same thing when we started reading AIDA in school! They're convinced I'm a freak, but I don't mind, because I know you guys don't think I'm a freak!
"Give me a freak any day of the week!"
As for people not auditioning, that makes me sick. THe most talented person should get the part, not someone who is friends with the director!
