I didn't talk them into it... thats the weird part. All I did was casually slip broadway recordings that I thought my mom might like into the shuffle in her car...so shes grown rather fond of wicked and the lion king. Not so accepting of rent though... thats why I decided not to push the ave q thing. Actually, I was arguing in the car with her (she likes to tap the steering wheel along to the songs and it drives me insane) so then she changed the subject and was asking me what was happening onstage at a certain part of the wicked cd and I said something to the effect of 'Well seeing as I've never seen it before how should *I* know?' and she was like 'well I guess we'll just have to go see it then'...
So I guess the fact that I was in Joseph, have excessive knowlege of Rent, am enrolled in 2 choirs, and spend most of my money on cast recordings etc FINALLY made her realize that this is really something I'm interested in and love... A little late (ie after Aida closed, after taboo closed, after Adam's concerts etc) but better late than never
woohoo
Edited because I was too much in shock to spell correctly
Here in this cold white room tied up to these machines, it's hard to imagine life as it used to be. Laughing, screaming, tumbling queen... Like the most amazing light show you've ever seen. Whirling, swirling, never blue... How could you go and die? What a selfish thing to do...
RIP Jason
