If I ever met Adam it'd probably be just like when I met Idina Menzel. I'd just stand there like an idiot, and not say anything. I'm happy though that I finally found my voice and remembered how to use my legs, and I was able to get her autograph and a picture with her. But if it were Adam, I'd probably still be standing there right now (mind you this was almost a year ago) with no voice or movement.
And he'd sign your stuff for you, take a picture, and thank you profusely anyway.
I made a total fool out of myself with Idina...ugh.
'I love your pants' right?

What did you do NTG? Couldn't have been worst than mine. Cause Idina actually stared at me for like 3 secs, waiting for me to approach her, and I just stood there.
Read Nessa's post.
The funny thing was, it was the only thing anyone said to her that night that got a response other than a smile...go figure.

Anyone else have any embarrasing celebrity meeting stories they'd like to share?
"You could go up and stare and he'd thank you."
I think I'm going to try that. I'm cute... I'm nice. I don't think he hates me.
Oh, wait. I probably already HAVE done that.
Really, though... he's so good. He makes it very easy - he's kind of intimidating at first, because you're thinking "oh my God, it's Adam Pascal" or "oh my... he's STUNNING" but he's really personable.
YAY for getting Idina to smile.
She smiled for my picture. Sometimes I think they're humbled by people who are really shy, and they're even nicer.
You know what's weird though, Emcee?
At least from what I could see on the 30th, almost no one in line ahead of me talked to him because they were all caught up fawning over Micky Dolenz. Like...he literally walked out of the stagedoor and all the way down to wear I was in the time it took me to get a picture and autograph with Saycon. And I was wayyyy back. He almost seemed surprised and slightly shy when I stopped him...tell me if I'm crazy.
NTG remember me in front of John Tartigula "is it ok that I think you're friggin hawt even if you're gay??"

Yeah if I were an actor, I'd take shy quiet fan over screaming fanatic anyday.
Grrr...I have to buy a new RENT cd. Stupid thing skips too much. I've only had it for a year.
I noticed that too. He was kind of different than how I had remembered from the Cabaret escapades. I was kind of far back, too. He seemed *genuinely* flattered when people complimented him... and even though he's always sweet, it's not always that genuine. There were a lot of young kids there, and he was so sweet to them, and so excited that they were so intrigued by getting to meet him. I remember there being about four little kids in front of me, none younger than about eight, and me knelt down next to them for a picture and to talk to them. That was one of my favorite days.
Nessarose, what did Johnny say to that? He's one of my favorites. SUCH a doll.
Ah, yes, John...that was such a fun night. And there was like no one there by the time he came out so he talked to us for like ten minutes...
He was like 'no it's perfectly fine, in fact I love that comment from women'
awww, J Tags. Can I say how sad I am that he's leaving? He's such a hot commodity, though, so I guess it's a good move.
Soon, none of my boys will be on Broadway. Well, thank heaven for Chitty.
When's he leaving?
January 30th.
awwww!
Oh, don't say that, Emcee! It's too depressing...
At least next fall we'll have Adam on the big screen...do we think we can handle the beauty?
(Adam--I mean *Roger*--after shower scene...)
Aww John Tartaglia sounds so sweet! I love him, too.
He was adorable
Who, Johnny or my Roger?
Both but I was aiming 4 Johnny
Yay for sweet hot men.
I'm watching Waiting for Guffman. ::cracks up::

moderators My first and only stage door experience was for the little shop tour. My parents surprised me (I thought we were just going out for dinner), and I had no ideawho was in the current cast of it, so I nearly died when I read my playbill.
So then at the stagedoor I waited for like 20 min for Anthony to come out, in the meantime chatting with and getting autographs from the rest of the cast. So I *thought* I had gotten the hang of the whole stage door thing, until he finally came out. I don't think I acted as star struck as I felt, but was able to ask him for an autograph and thank him for his performance with relative ease. I wanted to ask him about the Rent movie, but couldn't bring myself to. Luckily there was another group of RentHeads there as well--they sort of got that conversation started and then it was a lot more laid back.
I think I'll be okay for Wicked and Rent (Idina will be gone... that will make it easier)
