the top one is from a gig in 2000 apparently
Just if you were wondering
thanks for the info. Looking at the third pic, i am kind of worried about adam's fashion sense. Ready for rocks to be thrown at me but i love adam, the shirt though?
Adam's fashion sense is considered non-existent by a lot of posters on this thread - makes for a change of pace from the general adoration.
Hey guys, just checking in. I have to wake up at 4 a.m. to fly home. Grrr.
Nia, dear. Maybe she's just a bad kisser.
Oh, and Adam's fashion sense is.... interesting. I won't say that it doesn't exist, it's just... kind of off-kilter. We love him for it. Or despite it. You decide.
Have a good flight back, Emcee.
Devil, to answer your question about the Chatterbox videos, I'd get the "2nd appearance" one first, as the interview is much longer and more informative. It also includes some clips of Adam performing in Chess at the end.
Yes, I'd get the second one, too. I've not seen the first one, but the second one is adorable. Adam's very candid, and you can see his sense of humor; he really lets loose. A lot of what he says is VERY interesting, because he's brutally honest. And Chess. Perfection.
Thanks, Chloe.
<-- HATES flying.
A little late but...
'Hey guys, just checking in. I have to wake up at 4 a.m. to fly home. Grrr.'

Awww but you're going back to new york! It can't be THAT bad...
Have a safe trip home
Better late than never, I hope. Here's a copy of my review from the Knitting Factory thread:
Here's my kind of late 2 cents worth, with more details for Emcee - first a couple of negative things. I did feel that Adam wasn't in quite as good voice as at the first Joe's Pub show, where I thought his singing was really terrific. Overall this time he sang really well, but he had trouble with some of the high notes. (When I first heard Civilian I thought about how difficult it was vocally and whether that might become a challenge for live performances.) Also I liked the sound system at Joe's better. The KF one seemed to muddy things up a bit.
And on a purely personal note, I should have worn different shoes to a show where I would be standing for two hours.
On to the rest. I loved the way they started the show, with the band coming on and immediately going into the intro for 10,000 Miles, with Adam bounding on to start singing. He really sang the hell out of that song, It was a good idea to have a detachable mike that he could move around more with. He did a lot more moving around in general, even while playing guitar. I've seen all the comments about Adam's dancing, but I thought everything he did looked great. He was much looser in general than at the Joe's Pub show.
Toward the end when he was spending some time tuning his guitar and Glen started playing, Adam's responses were really funny. First he suggested to Glen that he "entertain the people while I tune." The crowd starting whooping it up to the great riff Glen was doing, and Adam said "not *too* much." Then he went into a Spinal Tap British accent and started talking about "Derek Smalls, he wrote this himself." (Bodes well for the Pink Floyd musical.) He also did a sort of Mr. Bill voice for the "international sign for 'help me'." It was all really funny stuff.
I agree that this was not the venue in which to do theater music, and also hope he does more Model Prisoner in the future.
great pics iwannabearenthead21! I think i saw you there! ALso Tayw was there as well. Awesome rent support!
Taye bumped into my friend by accident! She didn't know who he was but i didn't want to bother him for an auto especially since he was talking to other people. I am not one to bother celebs for autographs unless it is at a stagedoor or something.
hahah!
Hi everyone, I know I have not posted in quite a long time, but I just wanted to thank everyone for the reviews and pics from last night, they are awesome!!!
It sounds like the gig was great as usual, and I so happy everyone had such a good time, of course I wish I could have been there, but we just got back from NY on the 23rd and there was no way to make it back so soon around the holidays. Hopefully there will be some more coming up in the spring!!
Thanks for the detailed review, QM! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to get there this time. I've missed a lot on this thread, but I did manage to read the posts about Wednesday. Glad those of you that went had a great time!
Also, just wanted to pop in real quick to wish you all a very healthy, safe and Happy New Year!

Thanks, Chloe.
Were the OBCers you saw rude? Sounds like it.

Adam's always nice. That's all that matters. Damn me for missing this. Off to check out those pictures, though.
Looking goooooooood, boy! Thanks, Iwannabe. But gah. I can't believe I missed the red guitar. That thing is HOT... I've been wanting to see him play it live for a while. *pouts*
I love the pictures from after the show. He's got that slightly-tipsy look in his eyes....
*claps*
Oh, it's like a right of passage!
I won't tell you how many times I've met him. I think he now knows not to expect me to speak.

Emcee, he probably recognizes your face and silverwear by now and calls you by name.
Actually, he doesn't know my name. I haven't decided how to change that yet. I can't just be like "dude. I think I need to tell you my name," because I get the classic Adam Pascal "what the f*ck?" eyebrows. Hopefully he's blocked out the plasticware.
Iwannabe, I know that feeling. Actually, I DO talk about it for hours.... to people that don't care, but I do. My mother won't speak to me after an Adam even anymore. *le sigh*
Here's a *le sigh* for you:
I haven't seen Adam since I was 13
*le sniffle*
This thread will never die
That's too long, star2b! Let's go to SF, shall we?
We TOTALLY should!!!
Actually my mom's getting a new flight scheudule next year (tomorrow) and she might be getting the New York to SF route!!!
AHHHHHHHHH!
I was thinking about when you told us that when I was on the plane this morning.
It's actually happened before that my mom has meet some of my friends by being their flight attendent
