Boston is home, for me. It's cool to 'meet' someone from the place where we get our tree every year .
"It's also the only way I can imagine someone who wasn't interested in being in theater managing to do as well as he has in it."
Someone who has the big RENT book handy can go confirm this (mine is in storage), but either Michael Greif or Bernie Telsey made a comment about this.
From another interview with Michael Greif:
'He had never done a play, but he had great instincts, huge accessibility and could go very deeply from profound despair to extraordinary joy.'

Okay, I keep hearing things about this big Rent book... does it have a real title? I keep wanting to look for it on Amazon.com but don't really know where to start...
I don't think it does, but just search "RENT."
QM, don't be scared!

Oh, it was the DEATH STARE! The scariest thing I have ever seen, nia. *hides*
And he wasn't crying in the last show of Aida, he was all 'man'

I've NEVER seen the death stare! I'm so deprived... all the good Adam things, and even the bad ones.
You are SO lucky, Allie. I wish I hadn't seen it, seriously.

I meant, was he really crying on TV today? Poor guy.
I really, really do want to see his Death Stare though. I know it's scary, but I feel like I missed so much.
He looked like he was about to burst into tears. I was like "Oooh Adam don't cry!!"
It was sad.
He wasn't crying on TV today, his eyes were a bit teary, that's all.
If I ever meet you, nia, I will give you the DEATH STARE. I'm pretty good at it now.

aww don't cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok just watched it - i love that song - i thought adam got more into it in the bridge and i loved that he had the whole band with him - though i was confused as to why only guitarist, glenn was in a light - i mean the piano player sings with adam too so that's not an excuse - i thought that was odd
it was weird seeing adam in a suit - i thought he looked a little unfomfortable with his hands in the pockets but once he got to the bridge and grabbed the mike he seemed like he was back in his medium
i think it was a good marketing idea to get an audience that doesn't normally know him to fall in love with him and his music - perfect song choice for that audience
all and all - hooray for adam!!!!
QM, I want to see this perfected impression.

With all of the pictures being taken at that moment, SOMEONE has got to have a picture of the death stare in action.
I bet that person who has the Death Stare picture has it locked up in a box and buried underground-- from what I've heard, it's VERY scary.

You could go ask...
QM, I feel so warm and fuzzy. You're going to look at me like you want me dead. How sweet and thoughtful.

Well, we'll just have to take out an ad somewhere.
Wanted: one Death Stare picture of a Mr. Adam Pascal...
What do you think?
The death stare is pretty easy to copy... it involves a little pout, a huge gasp of air, one hand on the hip and a killer glare.
I'm convinced no one has a picture of that. I swear, the minute he gave the audience the death stare everyone dropped their camera. I'm not lying.
*lots of flashes*... *death stare*... *tumbleweed rolls by*
