at least i don't live with him so he can't ground me! Mother's are so much cooler in my opinion. At least mine is! Ok now i must go and do hw!
Jacob, as long as you don't ask him to say "Oh, guess what Adam? There's this thread on bww.com that's dedicated to you and over 600 pages long!! You should check it out sometime!"
Sorry that your dad didn't tape it, ash!
I figure there will be a thread on Adam's performance on the Main Board -- I haven't checked yet -- but the posts here about it were great! Thanks, guys!
For amasis, in particular - he wore that suit he wore to the AIDA closing party.
But... I never ask what he wears! Oh, well. Thank you, though. Sweet that you're thinking of me
. I wouldn't have expected that he'd be wearing a suit. So, he sang just one song? (Off to look for the other thread, if it exists).

There's a LOT of reading material for you on the main board, amasis. We've been discussing all day.
And I didn't mean you specifically ask for clothing descriptions, but you wanted lots of details, and those were really the only big ones there were, since they didn't interview him.
Never have so many tape machines failed in their duty, one way or another.
Jacob is talking about boobs because, to punish him for bringing up the spork on the Anthony thread, I told him CZJ's weren't real. He's pretending that he doesn't care.
but you wanted lots of details, and those were really the only big ones there were
Well, thank you so much. 'I'm With You' is a beautiful song, and perhaps appropriate for the particular show. I'm just glad that the promotions for Civilian seems to be going a lot of better than they were for Model Prisoner.

yay! hey guys!
don't feel left out, those that didn't see The View. I didn't even know that he was going to be on. i hate not having computer privileges!!!!
besides that: i've missed WAAAY too much? anyone wanna give me a brief summary? lol.
Hey Ponine. I'm really sorry you missed the show. Will you be able to watch the CBS News show on Saturday? Starts at 7:30am EST, and Adam and his band will be what he called the "house band," which I interpret as they'll be playing songs here and there between segments.

There's been debate about that, but I think it was. It's a song to his kids on a women's show that had a lot of stuff about mothers. It was also pretty brave of him to do such a difficult song in that situation. Singing soft and slow, singing really high -- "Wonderchild" would have been a cakewalk in comparison.
I just finnished watching it on TiVo
He sang I'M WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what page? i've missed like 100. lol.
You all may remember a couple of movie sites that quoted Adam about the Rent screenplay. They referred to a syndicated newspaper column, and I only found the original interview today. (They delay posting the column online a couple of days.) Anyway, here's the full story:

THE HOLLYWOOD EXCLUSIVE
BY MARILYN BECK AND STACY JENEL SMITH
RELEASE: TUESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2005
THE BIG SCREEN SCENE: Rock singer Adam Pascal, who originated the role of Roger in Jonathan Larson's "Rent," says fans will be pleased to know that Chris Columbus' planned movie version is "surprisingly very true to the stage production, containing 90 percent of the original stage script."
The actors are in rehearsal and will go to San Francisco in March to begin filming. "The idea of it being made into a movie has been kicking around for quite a while," explains Pascal. "Spike Lee was going to do a version of it like four years ago, but it wasn't happening with any of us. When that fell through, Chris Columbus took the reins and re-wrote the script. He wanted to have as many of the original cast as he could." As a result, former cast members Taye Diggs and wife Idina Menzel, Jesse L. Martin, Anthony Rapp and Wilson Jermaine Heredia are joining Pascal in bringing the show to the big screen.
In a way, Pascal is surprised that they were all asked to be a part of the movie, but "without sounding arrogant, I don't think there's anybody that can do it better than we can," he claims. With musical newcomers Rosario Dawson and Tracie Thoms rounding out the cast, Pascal adds, "Everyone has genuine excitement for the project. Half of us have worked on Broadway, and the other half has made movies, but nobody has made a musical movie. It's like camp -- we're having such a good time."

Where do I sign up for this one?
ditto alli! I am so glad he is having fun.
Okay. I want to go to that camp. NOW.
Funny that he uses that comparison, though... because I swear to God I have videotape of Adam whining about how much he hated camp as a kid.
Thanks, Chloe! I also find it funny (and endearing) that he has to preface his statement with the fact that he isn't trying to be arrogant. Again, he's no fool!
Anyway, I'm so thrilled that he's having a good time. Miss you, Adam.

Well, that's the hottest lumberjack I've ever seen!
"Funny that he uses that comparison, though... because I swear to God I have videotape of Adam whining about how much he hated camp as a kid."
You're right, on the second Chatterbox tape he talks about how he went to camp every summer and never liked it. I imagine the comparison came to mind because they're a group together far away from home. They might even have housing together nearby, since it would be a drag to commute back and forth to an island.
It was also pretty brave of him to do such a difficult song in that situation. Singing soft and slow, singing really high -- "Wonderchild" would have been a cakewalk in comparison.
You're right; the song is difficult to do well. I think it was a great choice. Not "rock star", but good for the show's audience. I haven't seen Chatterbox, unfortunately. It's only available on tape and I only have a DVD player. *sigh* But I'm looking into purchasing the tape and finding a place where I can have it transferred to DVD so I can watch it.
And thanks for that interview!

Gahhhhhh...just watched my tape.
My mom officially thinks I'm nuts.
I'm sitting there watching a TAPED TELEVISION SHOW going "Adam! Stop fidgeting! Get your hands out of your pockets!"
And the tears at the end...gah. That is all.
You're welcome. I hope you do get both the Chatterbox tapes. The second one has a whole lot in it, but the first one is good too - shows a sweeter side, for one thing, and Sherie Scott is very funny. Right after Adam leaves, Seth Rudetsky says to her "let the dishing begin. (then in fangirl style) Oh, he's so cute!" She then tells a story about how she and her dresser would try to have a normal conversation with Adam as he stood around backstage with his shirt open.
