Cam, I have a feeling Emcee means "odd" as in "uncomfortable," but I could be wrong.

Oh yeah, I saw those videos and was like "have these been up here this whole time?!?" I wish I never realized the whole thing about Just Here to the Left of You....it's really just not the same anymore! I met Kurt Duscht(sp?) so that was cool seeing him on there. Wow, I didn't know Gaven Degraw started out with Sh-k-boom! But when I heard his voice on the radio, I knew he was probably originally with the talented people of Broadway. Wow, Adam during "A little help from my friends" in the back with the guitar!!

I don't feel odd about it, though I'm probably more prudish than some people. It's not graphic, and it's not *just* about sex, it's about the relationship involved too. There's so much sex in our culture, and so little honesty about it, so I admire him for writing something that does seem to be honest.

Having said that, I'm a little worried that if he becomes a lot more well-known, this song will cause him problems, given the current hysteria over things like Janet Jackson's little accident.

In a strictly musical/metaphorical sense, I agree with you, Chloe. But my teenage mind, and the way that I view Adam on the surface make it a little bit awkard. It's probably kind of hard to explain why... I mean, it's not a particularly uncommon thing he's talking about.

There are now two Sh-K-Boom performances from 2000, a Sh-K-Boom Christmas and the first Sh-K-Boom Room.

Thanks for posting that. The videos have been on there for a long time, but when they redesigned the site (not the recent one, but the last redesign before that), they took out the links to these . I'm glad they've now put them back up, cause I love seeing him jumping up and down in "With a Little Help from My Friends". (Although, what have they done to the song!?!?" *grumbles*)

Yes, and I didn't think it sounded so great. I've heard him done 'Day Tripper' and 'Maybe I'm Amazed', and he did ok with those. (He did a *great* "Maybe I'm Amazed"). And I know this was a group thing; I just didn't like what they've done to the song.

I would love to hear Adam sing 'Helter Skelter' one day.

Hi, Diva, welcome, Ashley. There's no need to read the *whole* thread, I'm sure. In fact there are probably some who would prefer you didn't!

Just got through reading Anthony's amazing post about the read-through and peasant's feast. He's so right about the lack of community feeling in a lot of film production, though it can exist if it's encouraged by those at the top. I'm really, really feeling good about the possibilities for this movie after all he's said, and it's so wonderful of him to share it with us.
