Yes. We must give our audiences something to look forward to. And, you know, making our actor feel semi-comfortable (at least for the first few minutes) is nice too.

i'll assist you camerangel! I can also do sets! Oh and is it me or can you see Adam as Johnathon in tick tick boom? I was listening to the soundtrack and i could really hear adam's voice for the part.

On a serious note, since zippy brought up Tick, Tick.... BOOM! - I think we discussed this at the very beginning of the thread, but it's ok - vocally, I think it's perfect for him. And, I think he could do a pretty damned decent job with the role, but in the back of my mind, since Raul did it first and that role will always be his, Adam probably wouldn't ever be good enough. I don't mean it in a mean way, but those are really tough shoes to fill.

I have never seen Raul live but at times, their voices sound alike. I need to see this show!!!!!!!!!!

haha! No pun intended with the shoe comment, but yeah....

Raul live is a force like NO OTHER. I know this is an Adam love thread, but I can't help but not-so mildly express my love for this man. He is the most brilliantly talented thing I have ever, ever seen. I think he and Adam have that same edgy quality to their voices, but I can't see it going so far as for people to be able to confuse them. That always puzzles me.

Hey!

YAY!!! RENT TOMORROW! I can hardly contain myself... I'm so excited. But it's going to be such an early morning tomorrow. The bus leaves at 7:30 am (groan). Then it's a 6 hour trip there. Luckily, the music store just called, and my POTO CD's are in, woohoo!

Gah. He's just... he's a real actor. He's not in it to be a big star, which I find so admirable. And what's more admirable isn't really that alone, but the fact that he has raw talent, magnificient training and could REALLY sell himself if he wanted to go big... but he doesn't. He's in it because this is what he loves. *snaps for Mr. Esparza*

And he and Adam are friends.

And what I wouldn't give to have seen the Chess concert, too! Adam, Raul, Josh Groban... it doesn't get much better than that! I'm severely deprived up here in NS. I've only seen many of these Broadway actor in the little clips and such, but you can really tell a lot just from those few minutes.

I SO bitter over not seeing or hearing the Chess concert aside from those few clips.... gah. What an eargasm. I love their voices and the music is nifty and a half.

Regarding Raúl, I adore him. I love him so much I even go to the extra trouble of pressin six extra buttons on my keyboard in order to accent his name. That man is a true talent and I wish he was more widely recognized.

hey again! I was just listening to the tick tick boom recording and at times i swear i can just hear adam! Weird. Allie have fun at RENT! I just saw it for the 7th time and it still impacts me emotionlly! Also Cameraangel- Fraggle rock in your hair isn't to bad! I can think of other songs that would be worse!

Hi --- I've been working on a little project, copying all of Anthony Rapp's posts from the Latebreaking News and Welcome threads into one document as a record. I have about 30 pages of the Welcome thread left to do. I'll keep doing it as we go along and in the end have his Rent film diary.

Not as daunting as it might sound, as long as I skip through everyone else's posts. I don't know about PC's, but Mac technology makes it really easy to copy and paste this sort of thing. My only problem is if I start reading the other posts - things were pretty crazy for a while on those threads. It's hard to remember how heated everyone got about issues like casting and the script.

Oh yeah, I saw it - I've been following that thread religiously. It was certainly cute how he ran away after forgetting about that line. He strikes me as an extraordinary guy, especially for an actor.
