"it mentioned something about him having a girlfriend, so I think he is straight."

There you go. And many speculations that come up about Adam probably happens the same way it did for me with Michael Cerveris: no information at all and guessing based on a hunch. In other words, in complete ignorance. Rock it, Adam! (whooo hoo!!!!)

hi! Just catching up. THe video won't play on my computer and i am all sad now. Tear.

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

The video doesn't really play very well on mine either (series of stills rather than motion), and I have DSL. It must be very high resolution.

I think Adam would be able to sing a blues song very well.
As for WSS, I heard this one arrangement of One Hand One Heart that was just amazing... sort of like a rock song, but still keeping the original musical theater feel. I guess that's what I meant when I was thinking of Adam playing Tony.

The same happened me with that video Chloe, when I was home and on a DSL connection. I'm on a high-speed ethernet connection here, and it works clearly.

"adam as tony, i can't see it."

Maybe because Tony is supposed to be... what, 16? But ballerina, as for him singing 'One Hand, One Heart', yeah, I can picture that. I think my mind just immediately went to Maria and Somewhere. Rock it, Adam! (whooo hoo!!!!)

Maybe I'll try to see it at work (the next time I'm actually working). They have a T1 line, whatever that is.

The coming year is looking very... anticipatory - not quite sure what I'm trying to say here! But nothing is quite as good as anticipation. First there's Emcee's special day, and who knows what will happen then. There could be a lot of interesting surprises. We'll hopefully continue to get Anthony's amazing updates and follow the progress of the film all along the way.

Then there's all the publicity - newspaper and magazine stories, TV appearances, interviews, maybe even some "making of" documentaries showing up early. The film opens and we get to see it as many times as its actual quality and our budgets permit. At around the same time, the soundtrack CD will appear, which if they're smart, will have a terrific, informative insert.

If it opens in December, the awards season starts only a couple of weeks later. Though I loathe and detest most awards shows, at least there's a good chance that Rent will be nominated for something, especially at the Golden Globes, as Anthony pointed out.

Finally comes the videotape and DVD versions. If the film has made half the splash the original staging did, at least one of these should be loaded with extras containing the rehearsal and behind-the-scenes footage Anthony was talking about. *sigh!* Updated On: 1/17/05 at 07:45 PM

I'm familiar with the score, since I bought the CD to hear Patrick Wilson, but I never thought it was all that impressive. Maybe I'm missing something, I don't know. Content-wise, though... oh my.

I'll admitt Emcee, it's not my favourite show, but it's a really fun one to see (not just the nudity factor either, although that's not a minus Rock it, Adam! (whooo hoo!!!!))
But I was listening to it today and I really thought the Jerry role is not only PERFECT for Adam's voice, but would also be a great role for him to grow as an actor

Is the recording worth getting? I've been thinking about it, but wasn't sure if it was worth it.

And whoa-- did the side bar just change colors?

Adam as Adam Pascal in "The Adam Pascal Musical", written by emcee.

Yes Diva it did
I saw the show before I had the recording so I'm not the best person to judge it by it's solo value
But I really enjoy it and the cast is really great; Patrick Wilson, Andre de Sheilds, Emily Skinner are standouts in particular
And I do have a soft spot in my heart for Big Ass Rock and the shows two ballads
I'd say it's worth buying. Not my all-time-must-have-prized-possession, but it's a fun listen.

I'm not underestimating anyone. I'm sure you (with the help of a few other fangirls, and me) could write a wonderful script.
