I'm fine, amasis. Have you slept any more?
Just where are you two the queen and princess of, anyhow?
of the muppets, obviously.
I'm not a princess of the muppets, that's for sure .
I got 4 hours of sleep last night, which is an improvement since I've been getting closer to 3 1/2 before. But the good news is that I got a nice little attachment on my iPod that lets me use it as an alarm clock, and so I woke up to 'I'm With You' this morning, which is a nice song to wake up to .

I think I might need to invest in one of those....

I couldn't wake up to that at all, it'd just carry me back off to sleep... too pretty. I have my alarm set to play really loud high-pitched static. That gets me up.
Mine beeps. Like a f*cking SIREN. Otherwise, I'll just keep sleeping.
So let's take a vote. Who thinks Emcee needs a blog?
Well, as you've heard, waking up early is a matter of habit for me, so I only need a gentle reminder of how much I hate waking up after sunrise .
I'm feeling a bit depressed today though, I was re-reading 'Lord of the Flies' because my nephew happened to leave it on my desk, and it got me all disturbed.

For what reason, amasis? (sorry, I've never read it so I wouldn't know)
I've never read that, actually. Weird that I never had to in high school.

Oh, forgot- might as well get on, Emcee. I did, though I haven't posted anything interesting in it yet.
I want one because I feel out of the loop without, but I really don't need another online addiction. That's why I never got a livejournal.

I thought that's practically required reading in high school . It's an allegorical novel by William Golding. The story takes place during the war -- a group of British schoolboys got stranded on a deserted island. Their plane had crashed and now they were trapped there, without adult supervision. At first they tried to work together, electing a chief and making up rules and so forth, but soon chaos ensued. I think the writer's point of view is to show how thin a mask 'civilization' actually is: once the check and balances that we set are stripped away, you can see that most humans are basically savages by nature. It's great writing, actually. I definitely recommend it.
Oh, and Emcee: *another* online addiction?? That sounds terrifying .

I think I just died.
Hello everyone, just checking in...
LOVE IT, Nia!
Oh, and I loved Lord Of The Flies although it's very disturbing. Great book.

Hopefully it's subtle enough to not be deleted.
Hello, QM. How are you?
*GASP*! NIA! I... didn't even... notice! I swear, I'm too innocent for you, girls! *halo starts spinning*
I'm good, thanks for asking. I have some spare cash and have decided to discover a bit more of the US. I have four days next week and I think I will go and visit Chicago... New Orleans is high on my list too. I'm exploring some websites at the moment.

Subtle?
Hi QM! I had forgotten what great writing it is - but now it's putting me in a funk for the whole morning :'(.
QM, you really didn't see that?!?! *shakes head*

That's why I'm the GutterQueen and she's the QueenMuppet.
New Orleans AND Chicago in four days? Is that possible?
Hello again, amasis.
No, it's either Chicago or New Orleans, the jury is still out. You sure are the GutterQueen, you live there on a permanent basis whereas I just visit. *glares at halo*
Amasis, good books always have a huge effect on me, it's ridiculous. Lord Of The Flies was in my head for weeks
Emcee, I swear, I didn't notice!!!
QM
