That sucks, nia... Just what were you dreaming about when you did it?
Having a good birthday? (other than the iPod mess?)

It's had its ups and downs, amasis. I'm considering typing it all up in my blog, but I'm lazy. I still haven't recounted my school's play, not that it matters... does anyone else think blogs are an odd concept? I mean, who wants to read about my life?
Someone I barely speak to actually read my blog entry about Faggots. He commented on it, too. I felt special.
I have this urge to go bake snickerdoodles..
Snickerdoodles rock!!
What's that?
It's an insanely amazing cookie. I know it has cinnamon, but there's a bunch of other good stuff in it.

Well, somehow it's gotten very popular, though. I've always thought it's kind of an odd concept, but I have to admit that I've come across some intelligent and thought-provoking ones, so I'm glad those exist.
Anyway, I'm sorry your birthday wasn't great =(.

It's ok, amasis. Doesn't matter.
I think that blogs serve several purposes- people can post essay-ish thoughts on something like a novel or report events of their lives that other internet friends may want to hear about, but it's easy to just sound whiny and in a community like this, that can be a bad thing.
Snickerdoodles ROCK.
I wonder why I've never heard of them before. I probably can't eat them, anyway.
Hi everyone. I guess Valentine's Day is a lot like other holidays - overly high expectations crashing into dull-to-nightmarish reality. I dealt with my vague sense of unrest by eating cookies and chocolate, so I guess I'm in sync with the rest of you.
Hey! How was the first day?
I was running on fumes, but fortunately there wasn't a whole lot to do, mostly setting things up. Not in a great mood at the moment, like a lot of others here I guess.
Thanks for mentioning Superstar last night - I looked up the lyrics, which are very interesting if they are about Adam. Do you remember if she actually said that?
I heard it via word of mouth, but I think it may be written somewhere.... I'm not sure.
Well, she repeats the phrase "who do you think you are" several times, kind of like "without you" is repeated in Adam's song. Here's a little piece of them:
I thought you'd slipped away
Burning a hole through the sky where you said you would find
Your love
I loose my hope in you
That all those wishes upon you I made
Never fade
Who do you think you are
Leaving traces of stardust
When you're so far away
Didn't he leave RENT on a kind of sour note? Maybe she wrote that while he was in London?
That makes sense - though of course she left the show about six months before he did.
::now really officially knows too much::
Also, his song seems to be answering hers:
"I can be far away,
You won't be left behind"
I was thinking that too, that she left first... but I obviously they stayed in touch. Hm...
"Burning a hole through the sky" plus being far away certainly makes sense as referring to a long plane trip. This is the start of the song, which is really beautifully written I think. I saw that the album this is on is available through BC/EFA, so maybe I'll get it.
Superstar
I laid my eyes on you
Didn't know when you would see me through
Tomorrow
Sometimes you fade away
So many clouds have passed and I still see you there
Shining
A diamond thorn in my eye
You gleam so hard it makes me cry
And yet you're so far away
ETA: Ordered a signed copy of the album "Unreleased" - now that I'm gainfully employed I guess I feel I can splurge a little.

*bump*
Anyone still awake and here?
*sighhh* Well, I'm back for my updating on the latest Adam thread posts which will more than likely lead to staying on and not finishin hw and loosing sleep.
At BestBuy today, I was curious to see if they had Civilian by now. NOPE. But I was looking at an Evanessence cd on which the last track was entitled "Fortune Favors the Brave."
*edited for misspelling Civilian! that. is a no-no.
Hmph...
*sneakily clicks the "post message" button*
BUMP!
Howdy. I was off doing some other stuff for a bit...
Good. I should probably do some of that "doing other stuff" stuff for myself!
(blog) Emcee, it stinks when people are like that, huh ...ughh... try not to let their stupidity bother you!
Ok, I'm just gonna go. NOW.
