What are you looking at for songs, Ballerina?
And look at Chihuly if you need to stop fidgiting. https://www.chihuly.com/installations/garfield/ikebana008.html that usually keeps me from thinking about anything else. Exquisite indeed...

'What are you looking at for songs, Ballerina?'
I'm looking for things not usually heard in auditions, but not too obscure. I have a mezzo-soprano-ish range, but can't really belt, unless the note is around a C in the middle of the staff. I try not to sing the same song for the same musical director twice (unless it just seems like the right song for the show), so I've already gone through a bunch of the songs that I know work.
And I have now passed three minutes of waiting time by typing that out.

The dance piece hasn't happened yet. I'd be choreographing it for my dance company next year, but since I'm hoping to do two pieces, I need to have at least one minute of choreography ready to present to the director in mid-May, I think. Since my other piece is a fairly complex Blue Man Group number, I'm probably going to present my other one, which may or may not be to I'm With You. I think I need to listen to all of Adam's songs again, since I'm pretty sure I want to use something of his. I hope to have a song chosen by the end of the month so I can have a month and a half to choreograph. But when I finally do choose a song, I'll post about it here.
Yay! Another five minutes have elapsed!
Good night, Diva. No way I can sleep until I find out what happened! Even though I can barely keep my eyes open at the moment. Nia, how can someone with the name insomniak duck out at the early hour of eleven?
"I'm With You" certainly has a lot to work with. I can imagine "Tomorrow and the Sun" being danced to very easily also.

Yikes, five-thirty! Were you getting up that early all those nights I remember you staying up until two or so? I take a long time to fall asleep too, unless I'm really tired AND sleepy at the same time. Odd how those are not the same.
ETA: And I'm really sorry to hear you're sick again. I'm feeling a little under the weather too. Half the people in NY seem to have some awful virus.
