Well, that may be one of life's unsolved mysteries. But, just so you all know now and can stop worrying (because I know you were worried), I got tap shoes that fit today! I'm pretty excited. Now I need to put them to use.

Speaking of college stuff...the theatre rep from University of Miami called me yesterday, telling me they want to see me audition for their school...it was awkward.

The convo went something similar to this

ring ring

me- "hello?"
them-"HI!!! Is Samantha there?"
me- "yes, this is she..."
them- "Oh! well hello there Samantha! My name is (can't remember...it'll come to me..haha) from the theatre dept. at University of Miami! How are you today?"
me- "Oh hi! I'm great and yourself?
them- "Just great, we wanted to call and let you know that we'd love for you to audition for our school. Your audition at unifieds was just terrific. Are you planning on looking into the Univ. of Miami?"
me- "Yes actually...are you going to be in Nebraska?"
them- "No no, come to college in Florida! Preferrably Univ. of Miami *laugh*"
me- "*laugh* I meant to say the Thespian Conference in Nebraska, my fault."
them-"oh!!! *laugh laugh laugh* that's coming up isn't it? well we look forward to seeing you auditon for our school, just thought we'd let you know!"
me-"thank you! i will!"
them- "have a great day honey!"
me- "you too!"

MTI asked us to put together High School Musical for the mainstage show in Nebraska for this summer. WTF. we turned it down and they gave it to some other school, but seriously...if that show EVER opens in a broadway or off broadway theatre. life is over.

but yeah i guess she thought i said like...i'm looking at a college in nebraska or something. it was weird. hahaha

I'm now working one day a week from 4-10 and weekends. Sooo i have time to live. And i'm planning to buy 3 new mascaras. AHH DISCOUNTS. mmm

musical theatre showcase tonight was great

Our musical theatre teacher got proposed to. (like got asked to get married, not having sex hahaha)

It was SO cute. I'll explain the details later. peace out!

H'ok! sooooo this is how it all went down...before the show Mr. Wolfgang (our costume guy...yes he's straight haha) comes in and tells us to come outside to the side street after bows.

So we get out there and theyre calling out names to give us posters. (I performed Marry the Man Today from Guys and Dolls) so I had a MARRY THE MAN TODAY! sign and there were others like

you are thy bride (G&S)
I started the rumor!
We know why a fellow'd want a girl like her (Cinderella)
Can I sing at your wedding?
etc etc. everyone had a funny sign
my friend ashley sang Disneyland from Smile and hes taking her to disney land (aw)

So then there were signs that said

WILL YOU MARRY Mr. WOLF GANG ?

and she started crying and we started singing Seasons of Love.

It was so magical!!! we were all crying. Then there was cake in the lobby. score. hahaha

ahhh have fun blake!!!!!! take lots of pictures, you might even see my grandparents, they're on a cruise over in europe. hahah

p.s. we have no thoughtful students, just teachers. hahaha
