re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread, Part 4! *Witty Title Forthcoming*

Ryan, my mom's fine, thanks for asking. I visited her yesterday. She's fine when she lies down but obviously is in pain when she walks. She's very happy with her smaller stomach. I think we can bring her home tomorrow.

And no one misses the Gerard spear...though I won't hurt you too bad since you at least got his name right this time :-P

Don't get me wrong, I love Howard, but the stage and screen are two very different mediums. Look at Julia Roberts. She's great in movies, but people don't think she's right for the stage. The two require different things--you're so much closer in a film. I'm not saying you can never compare casts, but they need different casts for different mediums. I still say Gerry did an amazing job of conveying all the different emotions and such in the close-up environment, which is pretty difficult.

Anyone planning to see Yazbek's new show Burleigh Grimes at Dodger Stages?

Dabruzzo fan, do you know about pastdated tickets? Keep your stubs from the performance you missed. Then call the box office the day you would like to go. Ask them if they're doing pastdated tickets for tonight/today's performance. I think you need to call after 11, though each theatre might differ. If they are, you'll be able to go with your unused ticket stubs. They'll give you the best seats available. You should be good for any day at DRS, they only don't do it if they're soldout.

I have a battle wound from softball. I scored by uhh...sliding head-first into home plate. Or I fell down, and got a really bloody knee...same difference.

Sarah, hope your flight home went well and you're doing okay. It was a ball, it was a blast, it was a shame it couldn't last re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread, Part 4! *Witty Title Forthcoming*

I was soo happy with the Tonys, especially for La Chanze. The dress rehearsal was awesome. They had stand ins for some presenters and all the winners and they got to make fake acceptance speeches. I wanted to do that. The best was this skinny white guy who pretended to be James Earl Jones. We liked him better.

I think I dreamt instead of Sherie coming back, that Sarah Jessica Parker was taking over for Rachel York...weird.

Tomorrow shall be sad. I love Sherie, but will miss Rachel.

Wasn't that a great image of Greg and Lucie earlier on the cam?

Well folks I can finally give an answer to the question some of you have been asking from time to time: I'll be seeing the show Thursday night July 13 and will be hanging out with Greg backstage the next two nights while I'm in town. (Leaving for home early on the 16th). Please note that I'm very shy in person, but would be cool to meet and say hi to any of you who are around the stage door after those shows. Just don't ask for my autograph, that would really be weird. lol

I'm so looking forward to seeing Greg, his family, and the show again! It's gonna be great!!

Barb xoxo

Ah good old times, I was just arranging my photobucket and look what I have found... re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread, Part 4! *Witty Title Forthcoming*

Norbert Leo Butz quotes about John Lithgow: "He's really clumsy. One of the joys in life is to watch a great big huge man totally wipe out backstage. It takes John about three minutes to hit the floor. It's like watching a Great Sequoia falling gracelessly."

Uh-oh...

Barb, that makes me want to spend even more money just to come meet you. LOL.

It's bad enough that I lotto'd yesterday at the last minute, plan to lotto tomorrow (even though I will surely melt and my doctor will kick my butt for being outside), and have tickets for Tuesday.

In my defense, last night was a split-second decision, and I want to see Rachel's last. And I have yet to see Sherie, so...

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.
