Hi Mary! I've been okay, although I'm trapped for the summer in a world of pine trees and black flies. Unlike some people (who shall remain anonymous), I have not seen a Broadway show - not even been to New York - since last February.
I like your avatar; I take it you've seen Sweeney Todd? Or else you just ran into Michael Cerveris on the street and forced him to take a picture with you?
Edit: And I think I'm growing a bit too incoherent to be posting on a message board, so good night! I hope I'll have something significant to contribute to this thread sometime.

Hey guys - everyone see on the cam or on the site about the LIVE Auction on GregCam on Wednesday? Just go to the site and look at the details. It's sounding VERY cool, for a really great cause. I'm traveling all day Wednesday... bummed I can't participate. Sounds like it'll be fun, though. Kudos to Greg and Barb for setting it up.
damN! That looks so exciting!!! I really wish I could watch that. but I'll be working most of the day. I might be able to catch the evening show, but still. hmmmm. yeah.
I saw that he mentioned this on the cam and I was all excited about it till I read the site. Looks as though you have to pick up any won items at the theatre. So, I guess I'm out of luck. But it's a great idea for a great cause.
Kudos Brownie points to Barb and Greg for doing this.
Traci and anyone else, even though I'm NEVER at the DRS stage door...I'll pick up anything you win that you would be unable to--just pay me for the shipping costs
thanks amanda! I mean, I'm going the 23rd, so if I do get anything, you can keep it for a day or so and I can pick it up then. But I doubt I'll bid. If anything, it will be small, small things. lol.
had a scary night tonight. One of the interns I work with got so drunk taht she passed out and we decided to call for an ambulance. and I was in the room with her when they were checking her out and they finally took her to the hospital. I feel so bad, and sort of feel that I should have gone with her, but at least 4 other people did. So glad that I didn't drink tonight. (I partied last night. Amanda knows.) and I got a sore throat from that and decided to stay in tonight. It's scary. So, if you see anyone that looks passed out from drinking a lot and throwing up and trying to sleep, help them. Stay with them, keep them awake, let them throw up on you if you have to, just keep them awake. And if you need to, call 911.
sorry, tough night. going to bed now, and watching Waking Ned Devine to lift my spirits. Very funny movie. watch it.
Aww. It's my friend's 16th birthday that day, so I guess I won't be there for that auction.
We've been so confused guys, it should have the the Richard Kind love thread all along of course...

Did NathanLaneStalker just join to annoy the entire board?
Oy, oy, oy.
Whoa, Gav's so frustrated she's going Yiddish.
This coming from the same poster who overheard Barrett Foa tell someone this was his first time at Spelling Bee, when he posted about seeing the show on his blog in December.
Cat, I'm anxiously awaiting a reply from you on that thread.
I really think they have Gav. Every time I open a thread I die a little inside when I see that they've started it.

eh .. I say ignore 'em ... you say, 'well, Barb, you didn't ignore 'em in that other thead' .. I say, 'no, but what I'm saying here and now is, let's ignore 'em *here* in *this* thread.'
Or not. Whatever y'all wanna talk about. :)
Definitely ignore him. Not worth obsessing over, really.
Don't worry Kerrie and Barb, I'm already turning it into a bit of a Rachel York love thread. (Yero has a great avatar of her that I had to comment on...)
that was rachel york? wow. did not recognize her. maybe I need to see it again.
wickedrentq - Thanks for offering to pick up auction stuff for those of us not lucky enough to be in the area :) Luckily, I get paid Monday wooooo!
No prob, Wickedscoundrel.
If I pick up for those who can't be there, then more people will be able to bid, and the items will probably go for more, which gives more money to BCEFA, so it's all for a good cause.
And like I said, it's not like I'll be going out of my way or anything.

I wish I could've seen Rachel York as Christine, but hey, it's all good because I'm looking fwd to seeing 'Shere' again!
In other news ... very long story, short as I can make it .. Eric scared the s**t out of us Sat. morning early when he had what was apparently a grand mal seizure ... called 911 ... by time fire dept. and ambulance arrived, he was concious ... they even let him walk to the ambulance. Everything at the hospital checked out fine -- CAT scan, blood tests, all that, and they sent us home. Next thing is, we set up an appt. with a neurologist for EKG to check electrolytes and stuff. He has NEVER had a seizure before and this one has no discernable reason we know of. He's on NO medications, hasn't been sick lately (except for sniffles/allergies -- and even there, he's had no o.t.c. cold meds or anything), nor has he had any falls on or blows to his head. If you saw him today ... heck, if you even saw him later on Saturday morning ... you would never even guess anything like what happened had unless you'd been there.
I just pray it doesn't repeat, because those were some extremely scary moments for my husband and me!
Almost thought about canceling my NYC trip, but Al has assured me I should go, that there's not much I can do in the event (God forbid) anything else happens. He'll be here (vacation time), and I know he's right. If Eric wasn't doing well of course I wouldn't still be going .. but in a way now, after such a scare, I feel like I need this trip more than ever, and Greg and Julie are just the friends I need to be around with their great "vibes" and all.
So in a way I still hate to leave home after what's happened, but am also looking forward to some "extreme Mom's day(s) out" NYC fun!
Plus Al and Eric will enjoy "batching it up" while I'm gone. (I've put my foot down when it comes to bringing in the dancin' girls though.) And Eric, sweet as he's been about it, may like having a break from me overly fussing over him since this happened.
Oh wow Barb! That's so scary. Glad to hear he's okay now... I also hope there won't be a repeat. Seizures are scary things.
