I just got back from my first funeral...what a couple of days I have had. First date and first funeral all mashed into 4 days.

meghan, I'm so sorry. was it a family member? I think my first funeral was when I was 7 maybe, then when I was 12.

It was my Godmother's father. He has been sick and in and out of hospital for a while, so it wasn't 100% unexpected.
I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time...but kind of not a fun place to see them.
The worst part was when his family went up the aisle and his widow was crying. I didn't know him well and hadn't cried, but I lost it when I saw her.

My date was charming and lovely and perfect. I think good things come to those who wait.
He picked me up from work and then we went to a pottery painting place. He bought me a ceramic faerie to paint (45$! And he won't let me pay him back!) And he painted a giraffe.
He's graduating this year but is going to school in the city so that's nice. I hope he wants to see me again...I sure want to see him!

How frecking cute is that. I'm glad you had a good time Meghan. I'm sure he'll want to see you again.
I remember painting ceramic things when I was little. I wen't to one of those places for my birthday once. I still have the Unicorn I painted.
