Oh, here was the post I had before:

Eh, sometimes it's both, hun. [Me despising both BWW and the people at times.] The beauty of an online board is that you don't get judged by how you look, and only by the merit of your contribution. You already have to deal with that on-the-surface, superficial crap in your every day lives. Although I don't think the BWW Hottest Women board was meant in anything other than fun, the point is that there's a more "personal" aspect that further divides people. And judging from some of the posts on there, I'm not the only one left with my feelings hurt. And I knew it was a mistake to put myself in my avatar that time because of this exact same reason - I don't WANT people to know what I look like (well, I suppose you do, Cam - know what I look like, I mean), because then there's not much separating your every day life from your online life. If you can't sit behind a computer screen without being judged for your looks, were CAN you go?

1. FF, I know you nominated me, and I was really excited! It was how everyone else on the board (despite my poking and prodding) carefully avoided mention of my name that I was driven to start this thread.

2. The assertion about being nominated as/by a friend holds for me, as well.

Again, I agree with everything Tiff said earlier. It's a game, but it does hurt. The internet allows you to become friends with people based on what you say, not what you look like and part of me feels like a bit of that was damaged.
