Cuddley kitten.
I think he's much happier now. I remember seeing him and Michele at Eaun's concert last year. He looked so happy, it made me smile. He was very animated that night. Just relaxed and glad to be among friends. It was so cool becuase they weren't the clingy folks. They made their seperate rounds, talking to different people. He also had a beer in his hand. I don't know, it was so cool to see a different side of him. I knew about Chitty then, but nothing was official. I think his contract was still under negotiations at the time.

A tiara, perhaps?
Or maybe I'm getting my men mixed up.

They should think about it. They'd be an excellent pair. *cough*

I'd be there for sure!
It really is hard for my brain to make the connection that the same actor played both Ned and Caractacus. I think that is a mark of true talent.
October... hurry?!

Ooh. A tiara tour sounds promising. *giggle*
Go Angels! Woot!

It's also kind of hard in the sense that he didn't even *look* the same.
My "review" of The Normal Heart was very, very emotional and not really like a review at all, but it's still kind of nice to read sometimes. Takes me back.

Aw. I bet it was a great review. You always seem to have great ones!
But yeah, he did look like two totally different people. It's crazy.

I love that review! I remember you writing something about how you weren't sure if many people realized it or not, but how attractive Raul Esparza was.
I was like "uh, you think?!"
Yeah, and you saw Chitty first. I have to admit, it's kind of weird seeing him in Chitty once you've seen The Normal Heart. I keep thinking "any second he's gonna drop this character and run for the exit."

Well, a lot of people think he's ugly!
I think (and hope!) that I write a lot better now... and that the way I write is more focused and less gushy, but this one is a really good example of how my writing can have a huge emotional thrust to it.

I don't get that. He's drop dead gorgeous not to mention beautiful and sexy. And you can't tell me any different.
And your writing IS better now. And much more focused.

I think so, too. But he's not the "conventional" hot man. And some people don't step outside of the box. Their loss.
And thanks.
Being able to post my stuff here has allowed me to make mistakes and learn from them, and allowed me to find the arc to more "proper" writing on my own.

That was a great review simply because you could tell how much passion you had/have for the piece. Really moving. And I have to agree about the turn on.
I don't understand how people don't find him attractive. Ah well.

Posted: 10/7/05 at 9:35pmIt's my favorite stage kiss to date! And I say that meaning that it beats the Adam/Heather Elaborate Lives kiss that INCLUDED hip-thrusts, thank you.

I DESPISE that term "conventional" when referred to beauty or attractiveness. If you ask me, what the hell is? People say that about Michael Cerveris all the time. Whatever. I know he's beautiful. It just surprises me people say that about Raul. I mean. He's got great hair, great legs, a great ass, great eyes.... What's not to love?!

Well, for me, I'm always drawn to the dark, deep, mysterious types of men and most people think I'm crazy for that. I have really unique taste. So, I guess that's what I mean when I say he has an "unconventional" beauty. Because 9 out of 10 people I know would not agree with me.
Now obviously I do not just like Raúl for the way that he looks. His talent and body of work hooked me in.
