Hi puppy!
I'm not sure, either. I think they present the animals after they've been on display around the alley for a bit, and then you can go and find the ones you're interested in throughout the day.
Anyway, time for me to get to bed. I have to get to services for the holiday REALLY early tomorrow. Have a good night, you guys.

Posted: 10/13/05 at 12:12amheh. I'll probably be poking around for a bit more, actually. I want to see Will and Grace, I'm hungry and not tired and I'm waiting on an important PM... even though that won't arrive for a few more hours, most likely.

Posted: 10/13/05 at 12:18amI asked Chrys, but she ignored me...{sniff}, so I'll just ask here and hope you don't laugh at me. What does "phoning in a performance" mean? I am in no way relating this to Raul since I think it's a negative comment...so slight thread interruption.

Posted: 10/13/05 at 12:22amAng - it's like when the actor's just go through the motions...they're physically there, but not mentally/emotionally.

Posted: 10/13/05 at 12:22amIt sort of has to do with like... when an actor really looks like he doesn't want to be there. When someone says the performance appears phoned in, it's like... ugh, this is hard to describe, but like they're just going through the motions, reciting the lines, singing the songs. A phoned in performance feels distant, and looks very robotic. Those are the kinds of performances where you know the actor thinks of this simply as a job, and does it for the paycheck, not for the love of the craft.

Thanks guys! That makes sense now. I'm not good with all that theater slang you kids are using these days.
Why am I listening to 'Wig in a Box' for the 12th time in a row. Seriously. Why?!?

You know what, I'm actually tempted to now. Hotmail is NOT my buddy right now.
Oh and Ang, did you ever hear Michael Cerveris sing "Wig in a Box"? Now THAT is good stuff....

Posted: 10/13/05 at 1:37amOh, today in my MTW class, this girl was talking about how she saw Taboo. I asked her if she liked it, and she said she's a fan of Boy George so she really enjoyed it. She said Euan was dead on with his interpretation. She also thought he was very pretty. And then she goes "And that guy who played the friend. The one who was always dressing in drag, and wore the wedding dress...." (of course, I knew EXACTLY who she was talking about) she said "That man has the GREATEST legs I have ever seen." I said, yeah. "That's Raúl Esparza, and yes, he does!" I told her he's the best actor in the world, but she didn't seem to share my passion. Ah well, can't win them all.
