What my mom doesn't know won't kill her. I budget. I don't eat anything I can't pay for with Campus Cash and I never grocery shop (roommate's leftovers are fine with me) so then I can see a show every week or so.

Ugh, now that I've broken my no-avatar streak, I can't stop it. Raúl's too pretty.

His legs seems gangly in that picture, skittles.

I had a tendency to crush on distance-runners in high school. Gangly makes it sound so awkward, I prefer "long and lean muscled."

Hmm. That sounds like cut of meat.

Love is my legs, and you are my love, and you are my legs my looooove...

Sorry, I just had to do it.

Despite Raúl's (slightly) gangly legs, I like the avatar.

For some reason, I keep thinking of that "smouldering temptress" line from Moulin Rouge.

He's totally a smoldering temptress.

And I've seen him naked. Smoldering. I died a little.

Ugh. So jealous. But not for seeing him naked, but the context in which you saw him naked. My priorities are a bit distorted right now, I'm reading the play again and I'm just...gah. I WISH I could have seen him in it.

Now, I'm guessing that The Normal Heart is not for small children that are twelve years old? I'm guessing by all this nudity and such...heh.

Ooooooh...I'm off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz...

...I'm off to bed, everyone. See you all later. a complex fellow

I wish I had the chance to do it again, because I'm sure there's a lot that wasn't able to sink in the first time.

Yummy picture.

I MUST read this play! It's been on my list for so long but neither my library nor Barnes and Noble has it - the two places with books that I'm in the most. I've been trying to avoid amazon because of shipping costs but I might have to give in.

Keep checking back -- BN often has random free shipping.

On Amazon, there's a CD from a benefite reading that was apparently done at Roundabout Theatre at some point. I googled it, but couldn't find cast or anything.

Yea!

All I could find about it when I searched was that Barbara Streisand was there and made a 7 minute speech in the beginning, which is on the CD. Tomorrow I'll have to do some more digging but now it's time for bed.

I'm this close to just buying The Normal Heart along with Destiny of Me (in one book) used on amazon, which will amount to the same price as buying it new. Tomorrow I'll probably give in. It's too tempting when it's sitting there on the screen all pretty!

Good night!

Barbra used to have the film rights for the play. Her tie to it had pretty high stakes, until Kramer took them back.

Get both, if you can. Their strengths and weaknesses are almost exact opposites, but both are worth having.
