I really don't know what to say. It's quite... interesting!

g, in the Rent conspiracy thread on the main board we were talking about aliens invading Adam's body, so I made that.

Oh, okay! Haha. That makes a bit more sense!

The main board scares me.

Well, I had to come up with SOME explanation for why "conspiracy." a complex fellow

I love the Avatar!

Sorry to interupt, but I need help with the Raul portion of my obsession. (a certain Mr. Sondheim)
I REALLY have to see Raul in COMPANY, did you guys already buy tickets, etc? How bad was it to get there from NYC?
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

What days are you going to be there g? I know the Sunday, but I'm trying to semi-finalize my plans and I'm trying to see when other people are going so I'm not alone in a strange city for too long.

I'm going the weekend of the 19th. I have tickets for that Sunday so I'm sure I'll do rush on that Saturday.
#9536

Oh, Raul. Wow. That's a CUTE picture.

Do you guys think it's going to sell out, or be hard to get tickets?

I honestly don't think so. I bought my first set of tickets pretty much the day after it was announced that he would star. I just recently bought another ticket (Well, my mom bought it for me for Christmas but I found out about it :X) and it doesn't seem like the availability has changed. I don't think it's a really hot ticket.

It depends when you're going. I've been watching it (waiting until I'm *sure* about when I'm going to be there) and tickets are still available for all the days I'm looking at.

I'm not sure how long I want to stay there. I wish I could stay all week and see it with both g and ang, but I can't afford that. But I'm so tempted to ask one of my parents to come with me, just so they can pay for everything. a complex fellow

How big is the theatre, anyway?

Good plan! I'm taking my mom with me. She's quite anxious to see Raúl on stage again since I adore him so much. She's only seen him once in Chitty and that was back in July. So, I think she will enjoy seeing him in something totally different.

Although, I might take her to Chitty one last time during closing week.

I'm curious about that, too. I hope it's small and intimate. I've looked at the seating chart but it didn't help much.

Yay for thrust stages.

I saw him today actually while walking down 8th Ave. He was smoking a cigarette and looked angry. As usual.

I hope it becomes a hot ticket.
I can't decide how much to spend though, with the tickets and hotel, and flight it will be a prety penny.
I also hope it is a small theater, I really could explode just thinking about it.

oooh. Looks nice! And not huge.

I keep asking my mom if she'll come with me, because God knows my dad would sleep through it and just be all "what's a Raul?" but she's totally disinterested. Because she's only seen him do Chitty, she doesn't get what's so great about him. She doesn't really get that she needs to see him do something serious in order to get it, and to see why he's completely brilliant. I tell her that I think he's this astounding artist, and she just goes "well, I don't think he's really all that brilliant."

Heh, not a Raúl fan, munk? a complex fellow

I'm trying to decide which parent I should go with. My mom has relatives in the Cincinatti area, but she's not a big theater fan and I don't think she would be able to get off work. My dad would definitely like it more, and it's his birthday week so that would be good, but we don't always get along.

Munk, you have such a love/hate relationship with him.

My mom did suggest I go with friends, but she doesn't know you guys exist.
