Aw, I hope Raúl comes out all week. Not specifically because I'm going to be there, but because even though he's *ahem* not exactly thrilled with the show at this point, he should at least enjoy the time he has left.

g, those are great pictures, you always look so nice in your pictures with him. Of course, the mental image of him holding a lamp at the stagedoor is hilarious.

I still say we launch a protest. We were "loyal fans" back when they were at like 70% capacity. I guess I'm just so used to the way Rent fans are treated that this just seems like blasphemy. Interlude

I have my ticket, I'll be there. We can meet up and make faces at the mean usher or something Interlude

Oh, it was just a small thing. A few days after I gave him the jam I saw the show. He saw me in the audience and so right before they sing "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" he said "Is that boysenberry jam?" and pointed to Truly's basket.

Guys, I talked to Kim last night. She's one of the moms. Anyway, she talked to some people at the box office and they said that they WILL still sell student rush seats even though they aren't supposed to. It just has to be a single seat and near showtime. So don't give up!

Kim sent me a really long e-mail this morning and she made me feel a LOT better. So, I honestly think it was all a lie.

Yay for student rush!

I'm glad you feel better about it and that it really was just the ushers being....awful.
The parents all sound so nice!

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

I just watched the Brokeback trailer again; I can't even figure out how to describe the way this movie has gotten under my skin. The music alone puts my stomach in knots. The weird thing is that I don't know why. It's always jarring to feel something and not be able to find a viable explanation -- one that you can verbalize -- for why.

/random thoughts.

I think I'm giving up on seeing CCBB again, though. 's ok. KITTEN!!!! Many, many memories.

Good luck w/ the student tickets Jen and others who may try it...you don't think the final performance would be soldout to you? Keep checking on that if you're planning.

And cheer up everyone, you all have Company to look forward to--and I want detailed reviews, particularly on the instruments! KITTEN!!!!

I've got to make sure I know the show fairly well before I see it. I won't make the same mistake I made with Sweeney.

Ooh good luck...I don't know that much about it but from what I saw on Broadway: the American musical the show seemed kinda....weird. Something about the plot being nonlinear and metaphoric, I dunno

Right, the plot isn't linear. It's a series of vinettes (sp?).

Well, if the extra money isn't that big a deal to you, I'd prob suggest that just to play it safe and to know you have your seat and everything. If you'd really rather get a student ticket, I'd suggest calling telecharge(they sell chitty not ticketmaster right?), every so often and suppose you're not 100% sure you can def go and want to know how close it is to being soldout and what the chance would be that you'd be able to get a ticket close to showtime.

Chitty is sold by Ticketmaster. I splurged. I'm donating a huge amount of money to charity this spring, so it's all good.

Haha Skittles KITTEN!!!!

Okay if it's sold by ticketmaster, you can call ticketmaster and they will give you the box office #, which prob bodes better since they'll have better access info to how the show is selling for that date.
