O, have a wonderful time everyone going in these final days!
I need to see Brokeback Mountain. It's playing in the city and in one theatre in NJ which is about 45 minutes from me but right near my friends. The problem is they've all somehow seen it already, even though I had plans to see it with one of them.
I expect... ahem. Documentation.
See it, Alix! It's seriously going to get under your skin. I can't get it out of my head. I hear the music, and it's so... haunting, I just lose it.

Em, do you still want to try and get tickets for tomorrow night? I still don't have any more info on the party. I have a feeling it's going to be a very last minute thing.
I ended up talking to your friend Sarah the usher and another usher tonight for about an hour. They had heard all about what happened the other night and they assured me that NONE of it is true. And that she's completely off her rocker. So I feel much, much better. Until Raul sneaked out the side door and ran to his SUV and we made eye contact. UGH. He probably thinks I was watching him run to his car which I was not. I just can't win.
Anywho, saw the show tonight. It was fabulous. Raul's wrists were fantastic. The audience was crazy and they clapped during every song. I'm serious. Every song. They clapped during "Bombie Samba" and Raul climbed up on the cake and gave the audience a look of confusion.
He was so silly tonight. Two things I remember the most were - after Julie Tolivar (Who is getting MUCH better) said "I've got a basket!" Raul said "You've got a basket? Well, I've got a car coat!" and he put his coat on. Haha.
And then during "Doll on a Music Box/Truly Scrumptious" instead of blowing truly a kiss he put his thumb in his mouth and sucked on it the whole time.
Silly boy.
Awww, sounds like fun! I'm glad everything's cleared up g!
I know, em! My friend, who is the LAST person you'd expect to cry during movies said she cried and another friend was apparently couldn't drive home afterwards for a good 10 minutes because she was crying. I know it's going to affect me a lot from the trailer too just because of what it's about. This is nonnegocialbe (sp?), and I don't know how much longer it will be in theatres. eeeh
haha, that's silly.
I don't know if it's gonna be worth it for me to come in tomorrow at all. I'll e-mail you in a bit, g. I'm glad you got it all straightened out, though.
His wrists should do a Cabaret.

Guess who made my avatar? Kooks! She made a whole batch of Chitty icons over at LJ.
EDIT: Now it's the right one.
He sucked on his thumb the WHOLE time? That is hilarious...and would be quite amusing to see live.
Big news: Brokeback will be having a wider release soon because in the beginning of January it's going to be at my local theatre! Jumps for joy! Sorry, *is done* I know only I'm excited about this.
Pretty avatar.
I'm glad he at least seems to be enjoying himself for the final days.

I meant to post that in one of the Brokeback threads, Alix, but they're so deep in discussion now. It's on a rolling release schedule, but it's still only in a few places now.
Sorry to backtrack, but I haven't been on in a few days and look what happens... No rush tickets? Damn and blast. Well, I don't have the dough to buy a full price one. But, I'll still come into the city tomorrow so don't worry skittles. Hmm...well, I'll think of something else to do, I guess. Sigh...I so bummed. I was blowing off a party with my friends from high school for this. Ah well. If anyone is in the city the next two days, I'll be free now. Drop me a line!
You should go try to get one; it's all so up the air, with everyone hearing different things. Can't hurt.
Will do, Em.

I would definitely still try to get a ticket. It's worth a shot.
I have a ticket for the matinee tomorrow. I don't know if I'm going to go, though. I might just skip the shows tomorrow and see closing.
I don't know. I just still feel the need to back off a little bit.
Maybe you can sell them to somebody.

I'm thinking about it. I mean, I would love to see the show, but I can wait until closing.
Gretch and I are still going to stage door tomorrow night, though. I'll hide! :)
I've been avoiding the Brokeback threads, but I look forward to reading them after I see it.
g, maybe I'll see you at the stagedoor tomorrow. I'm going to see Dog Sees God with a friend and I'm thinking maybe I'll walk by the Chitty stagedoor again. I wouldn't say anything probably. We can hang back together. It depends on timing though. I'm taking the train home so I don't want to be too late.
I avoided them at first and hid my initial reactions here. After I let it settle, I finally jumped in to some really great discourse.
ang, I hope you can get student tickets! I'd feel so bad mooching off you only to not have you be able to go either. Maybe you can hide in my messenger bag or something. But if the BO people were just being idiots the other day, you still have a good chance!
Oh, did you know that Jaclyn was in School of Rock? I was watching it last night and immediately recognized her so I felt like a good little Chitty fan.

So how many of you will be at the stage door tomorrow night? And closing?
Gretch and I will be there for both. We all need to meet up since a lot of us will be there.
Kim did tell me today, though, that since closing is on New Years Eve the area surrounding the theatre is going to be closed off and no one will be able to get near the theatre without a ticket.
If you're getting student tickets, how would you be able to get to the theater to buy it?
I'll be there for the closing and definitely at the stagedoor.
Someone call me from the stage door.
I was wondering that too, about getting the tickets. I'm just not in the mood for spontenaiety, much as I love E. My patience for any sort of crap have run very thin.
I'm going to try to go to the stagedoor, but it depends on timing because if I can make a 9:45 train, I'll do that. If not, I'll take the 10:45 train and come to the stagedoor.
If I don't get a rush ticket to the show tomorrow night, what time do y'all think I should get to the door around?
