Poor kitten. I hope he's better soon!
(by the way -- he smelled excellent. Am I allowed to say that?)

Yes, you are!

Hah, Nia! Am I really the only person who says "bobo-head?" That's unfortunate, because it's very fun to say.
So you didn't doze on his shoulder, Em?
That would have been something to tell about! But yes, you are definitely allowed to say he smelled good! It's the truth, right? I can't wait to see the picture!
Sutton and Raul at the same table??! *die*

I wasn't expecting to freak out as much as I did upon meeting Raul. I saw him sitting at the table and was completely awestruck. I don't think I've ever gotten so excited about meeting someone - ever. Anyway, when we went over to take the picture I was like, "Hi, I'm a huge fan." He said thanks and then we took the picture. The guy taking it was like, ok, showing me the camera, and indicating that he took it. I realized about 20 minutes after the whole thing that I wasn't looking at the camera. Instead, I was just smiling out in a general direction so I won't be looking at the camera but I'll have a huge smile on my face in the picture. Then he signed my Taboo CD insert and I told him that when I went to see Chitty he fingerspelled (spelled out with his hand in sign language) one of he lines and I asked him if he signed and that I was interested because I'm learning. He said that his brother is Deaf and that their whole family signs perfectly but that he only knows the alphabet so he can spell words out. I just sort of nodded and said oh and things. I was just amazed at the whole things in general. Then I said thank you and as I was walking away he said/called to me, "but I spelled it right, 'my own car'" which was the line he spelled and he kind of did it again. I just said yea and smiled and then it was the next person's turn. Afterwards, I was literally shaking, which was weird because that's the first time that's happend. Anyway, that's my little story of the day. The picture's on a regular camera, not a digital, and there are still a lot more pictures to use up but when I get it back I'll scan it in and post.
It was an incredible day!

Alix, that's a great story! He sounds so nice.
I can't wait to see the picture.
angelic~ Is your avatar the picture? It's great! You both look good. He's so cute.
He looks very young in that pic. What's the background? I'm confused as to how it all worked out.
A shameless plea:

Please read it, even if you don't respond. It would take literally 2 minutes. Thanks!

they had a background that you stand against with lights pointing at it so maybe that's the effect you get with the camera? it is a great picture angelic.
he was easy to talk to. now all i want to do is meet him again.

Just watched the Seth's Chatterbox tape. Wow, he's so funny, and...I don't know, real? He was so intense about some things and so sweet. Plus, the beautiful ending to Defying Gravity made me laugh so hard I had to rewind and watch what I missed.
Oh, what a heavenly day...

Anyway, that picture is fantastic. In fact, I can't stop looking at it. He's just too adorable.
And I love his haircut now that is has grown out a bit!

Well, if I was that pretty, I wouldn't mind either.
I remember once -- I think it was at the Chatterbox -- we were taking some pictures, and he told this story to my friends and I about how at his wedding, he had to take so many pictures that he felt like he was going to get stuck smiling. He said he just put on this face, like a "wedding smile." Kind of like a little smiley robot, or something. It's a little bit like his "okay, you're blinding me" face, but it's really funny.
I love that he gets really friendly when he takes pictures. Some people are awkward about it, but he's just like "awww, come here!" and tugs you in. It makes the shyness factor a bit easier to deal with.
OH, and ETA -- I was on the phone with my mom this morning, telling her about yesterday. First, she told me I need to stop being so "star-struck." Not in the sense that I need to be less shy and speak up, etc, but in the sense that this is all EXTREMELY silly, because she still believes it's ALL on a shallow level. She never experienced this phase or whatever you want to call it, so she just doesn't "get" it. Then she told me I'd better not have caught Raul's cold, since I told her he wasn't there last night, probably because he was sick. THERE'S an fangirl story: "OH MY GAWD, I caught Raul Esparza's cold!!" *facepalm* Did I make out with him? No. Oy.

Aww, you all have such great pictures. I'll be jealous until I get another one. Who knows when that will be.
Aww Em, I'm sorry your mom doesn't "get it". I don't think there is anything wrong with being star struck.
You have Raúl's cooties!
